Hi Traci
I will have a stab (pun intended) at answering your question, although I do not have any experience with saline breast injections.
Firstly saline is an isotonic solution & so will move freely through the tissues. There will be some plumpness at the injection site but the best you could hope for would be 1-2 hours. Hardly time to get home, let alone get ready & go out. A colloid injection may last longer.
The best example I can think of is swollen ankles. Have you ever had them? That swelling is basically saline – plus a few other things. That swelling goes overnight. You pee that extra fluid out via your kidneys the next morning. The same would happen to your saline injections.
There are saline breast implants – instead of silicon ones. You are not confusing those with “saline injections” are you? The saline in the implants is contained in a fancy plastic bag & hence it cannot disperse throughout the body & of course must be inserted by a surgeon.
I hope that answers your question.
Finally; any injections must be done in a sterile fashion or you could get a very serious infection, that could result in scar tissue – which eventually contracts & therefore make your brests even smaller.

Guest17/01/2012 at 6:57 amYou can get needles and sterile saline from medical supply houses.
I got some Terumo needles and Luer syringes from a place in Sydney and used 18G needles with 60CC syringes.
It is important that you use sterile saline and not the kind used with contact lenses .
I have injected 500ml into each breast from several locations on each breast and found it increased my size by over 2 cup sizes but the saline was absorbed slowly into my system over about 4 to 6 hours.
There are obvious precautions to be taken and if you are not familiar with doing injections find yourself someone with medical qualifications to show you how and what to do and what not to do.Moderator

I guess that some will do almost anything to achieve a more feminine body, and I can understand that only too well. But I wonder why it is I have this feeling that some people are perhaps juggling with tombstones. Take care!

Guest08/02/2012 at 1:16 amGod ! I read about these injections around 20 yrs back being used by models to get bigger for photo sessions. Seemed to be the fashion back then – go to the right Doc, get the injections, do as many pics as possible then wait for them to go down – seems partying after wasnt on ! Apparenttly having a breast full of saline wasnt really a comfortable situation .I wonder if its done so much these days ? It might be ideal for a special occasion …

Guest18/11/2014 at 11:30 pmRe temporary breast implants ,

This service seems to be a latter day “try before you buy ” scheme ! If its harmless then it seems fine to me -I must save up ..
I searched on the net for any adverse effects from earlier saline injections as well as this “new” method but found nothing
I think the size increase should last a while so that the pain from the size increase settles down and yu can feel what it really feels like …
Perhaps I should have listed this in tg services

Guest26/11/2014 at 2:24 amWell I think sudden increase in breast size will stretch our skin and might leave stretch mark or might damage our skin. Not sure if saline injection will damage our skin.

Guest26/11/2014 at 2:51 amwell its been used for a long time with no side effect like that listed …
Also its offered by plastic and cosmetic surgeons with FDA approval but it may occur .The size increase is much smaller (usually) than implants provide I guess if your going to have implants later on it wouldnt matter much
