Here’s some notes about stay-ups.. I’ll add more info in future..

    > Ambra are good, especially their x-tall with lace top. The silicone strips seem to last a long time. The 80 denier are my faves and they have a bit of shine too!

    > Levante is another good brand but they are pretty fragile even when compared to other sheer fashion stockings. I like their micronet stay-ups but will be extra careful putting them on in future :P

FYI Kmart don’t seem to have any stay-ups at all, just pantyhose.

I’ve found a shop in Harbourside level 1 called Coucher, here is their blurb:

“In French, Coucher means sleeping, but at Harbourside Coucher means fabulous Australian and European lingerie and sleepwear made from embroided lace, cotton, pure silk and microfibre. Coucher stocks beautiful gifts for men and women.”

I’ll check out their range in more detail and report back :)

I would agree AMBRA seem pretty good and resilient. BUT they are a little tight after a few hours around the top.

Levante look and feel lovely but the damn things ladder at the drop of a hat. That isn’t just my experience but also my wife’s.

Kmart did have a stay up brand at one point in time and it was actually really good, nice fit, colours were not off or anything. I haven’t looked for a while so I don’t know if they still stock it.

Yes, exactly! So it’s not just me then :P

I guess one must trade-off between strength and softness.
