    Hi everyone,

The more I try to emulate a female during my “Caty days”, the more I am glad I was born male the rest of the time.

    Why????

As we all know, its the preparation/getting ready time. Now like many of us, I thoroughly enjoy most of it, doing my make up and donning stockings and corsets/ suspenders, to name but a few.Time consuming, but all part of the thrill of being Caty

Its the “fiddly bits” that get to me. EG False eyelashes and nails.

Been trying these lately with very mixed results. I have huge male hands and fingers and wear glasses to see, so even with tweezers, make up glasses and a magnifying mirror, I still have not got these right.. And I keep losing them too. Luckily thus far where ‘er indoors has not seen them. Trying to get the right amount of glue on to them is tough as well, looks like I’m doing woodwork back in my Tech school days

I also tried nails the last Caty day. Remembering I cant leave them on, trying to use anything but the adhesive they come with is not on. Just as well I had two sets, cos that was they only way I got one complete lot out of it all.

OK, we now have false nails and have the photos to prove it. (See my profile within the next 24 hours).

    PROBLEMS

a/. Getting them to stay on. (EXTRA floor security sweeps looking for lost nails after the Caty session) and b/. Trying to do anything complicated with them on when you are not used to them is a nightmare. Could not even undo my bra the normal way, had to twist it around the front. Don’t even ask about untying corset laces….

We know “real girls” do all of this as a natural thing. But they dont have hands the size of garden spades and have been doing it forever.

Ah well, “cest la CD life”

Then it’s back to the male me, no lovely smooth fabrics on my skin, walking around in high heels or the feel of Caty’s breast forms attached to her chest.****

But I’m ready to go do my “male things” in 1/10th of the time.

    Happy dressing everyone

    Caty

**** I also have the stick on/suction cup breast forms. Woe is me, whilst they are in your bra the little suction cups with all that coverage make it feel like your whole chest moves when they do. But they dont work nearly as well when I try to go braless. But then thinking it through they were not REALLY designed for us CD’s. So for the braless effect, we have to go back to the trusty double sided tape Gold Seals from the lovely Tanya at the Breast Form Store. (free supply of tapes next time Tanya???.. Not that she’ll see this!!!) However, they only attach around the edges…

So I after all of this “shoulder cry”, I guess I’m firmly “Stuck” with what you see above.

I could never get false eyelashes to work either, Caty,
For me, dealing with the false eyelashes felt more like building model kits.
Applying the glue with a sewing needle, and then carefully manipulating them into place with tweezers in one hand, whilst trying to hold the rest still with the other.

2 sets of false nails to get one full set, was also part of my routine.
I learned to look for the clear nails, after running into issues finding 2 matched sets of nails in the same colour. I would glue the the clear nails on, then apply my preferred nail polish colour.
As my skills with model kit building, back in those days, were still current, I could easily and flawlessly apply the nail polish.
Now days, when I try to apply nail polish, the results are not good at all. I have become woefully out of practice.

Unfortunately there is no real solve to these problems.

When I used to wear false nails, I could never do anything complicated whilst wearing them either, as I was unacustomed to their instant length.
I used to leave sticking on the false nails till last of all, so I could do all the more fiddly detail work first. And when taking everythng off, the nails were always the first to go.

It’s NOT that real females “have been doing it forever.”
It is that as they have let their nails grow, they slowly alter the way they do everything, to allow for the slowly lengthening nails.
When a woman breaks a few long nails in a short space of time, it throws all her adjustments for the nails right off.

I’ve just been out en femme and have good news and bad. I made a complete mess of painting my nails after spending three weeks growing them long enough for it to be worthwhile painting them. Wife knows about the dressing but disapproves about the nails and they were on the brink of triggering her trip-line too.
However according to Tanya of the BFS only idiot CD males bother trying to do up bras behind their backs. GGs swing them round just like you did, Caty, so don’t feel too bad.
For lashes I’ve given up on mascara and falsies. I’m just too uncoordinated but male lashes are naturally thicker than girls and I’ve discovered lash tinting: black, very subtle, or blue-black, more daring, have not yet been noticed by my wife. It’s cheap around $15 and lasts 6 weeks. Definitely easier too.

In our house the GG does her bra up in front and then swings it around.

This ‘idiot’ CD likes the challenge and has no trouble doing it up from behind. Mastering doing it up from behind is just one of those ‘I can do it too’ moments that makes me feel just a little bit more feminine.

As for false eye lashes even on young things that’s just what they look like, false, unless professionally done. Applying mascara like any other makeup technique just needs practise and the right brand of mascara. I have found that not all makeup brands are equal. Just like good quality paint, to a certain degree, you get what you pay for.

I do my bra up behind my back, spinning it around tends to stretch it or so I read.

Eye liner I gave up on a long time ago, mascara, I just need to clean my spectacles as I seem to get more on them than the eyelashes.

My main security problem has been lipstick on my coffee mug. I forget occasionally which prompts a bit of questioning by her indoors. Ah well.

Certainly are some skills required to be femme.

Heard the choice of technique putting on a bra described as using the chicken wing or washing machine method. Good descriptions. Washing machine for me – not flexible enough to chicken wing but chicken wing off. Strapless bras are harder that way – so its the upside down washing machine method for me.

Eye liner has taken me a long time to do reasonably well but still room for improvement.

As Caty says, it is so much quicker being male. But so much pleasure being femme.

Not all GGs hook the bra up at the front then spin it around, I know some GGs that hook thier bras in the back, as they found that when doing up in the front they tended to stretch the bra or a few also found that it irritated the skin to spin the bra around from front to back

What is somewhat ironic, for me, in this discussion about how to put on and fasten bras, is 2 of my non breast form bras are front fastening ones.
