Hi all. I was going through the Green Guide and noticed on Wednesday evening at 8.30 on ABC2 there is a programme, a doco I assume, called ‘Teenage Transsexuals’. As I said it’s on ABC2 so you will need a top set box or a set that receives digital television.

We (my gg and me) watched this doco last night. It was another brilliant programme from Channel4 in the UK.
The four main subjects were varied in both age and gender preference. Apart from the late-teen girl (sorry, I’m not good on name retention) the age of the other three was a surprise. I think the youngest was a ten year old twin and her drive to be the girl she knew she was was very impressive to say the least. And what supportive parents! The support from medical proffessionals for people of such a young age was equally impressive.

    There is a future…

If you missed it try and catch the repeats.

This was a fascinating documentary illustrating the formidable problems teenage transexuals and their parents endure; and basically because of societies prejudices. However as the programme shows things are improving though ever so slowly.

My So and I looked at the ABC2 doco. I was very interesting how clearly it started at that early stage. I can’t blame the doctor for being unsure how it will all pan out in the future. He can only deal with the present.

Today I switched on the Foxtel for a brief moment and saw the second half of Water Rats. There is a actor who plays a transexual named Connie.
She mentioned during the interview ” One nick and then I will be all woman ” One way of saying it.
