when there are people like this who can address an audience in such an articulate way on a very difficult subject we should all say thanks for assisting change in cummunity attitudes
Realise however it takes time and there are those who due to there entrenched un enlightened views will never cope with Transgender issues but we dont need to worry about them its THEIR PROBLEM

Guest29/07/2015 at 2:41 pmIt is unrealistic to think that all people will respect, accept or like what we do. The same applies to anyone in Society. The strength to be yourself can only come from within and cannot be given to you from outside. Positive self talk is the answer to finding that strength IMO and you have to start by liking yourself. Why an adult lets others proscribe their lives is increasingly puzzling to me.

Guest31/07/2015 at 4:32 amI agree one hundred percent that the more people with knowledge who can articulate our cause the better. However to play the devils advocate the reason adult people let others influence their lives is LOVE and we don’t want to hurt those close to us and anonability is a small price to pay its a two way street

Guest31/07/2015 at 5:54 amSpot on Julie. And while I love to dress and go to events such as Transformal, I love my wife and family much more. But I applaud those wonderful people who are in a position to bravely fly the flag for us. Having said that, I think there is a raft of difference between my own situation to one of a transitioning transsexual.

Guest04/08/2015 at 3:22 amWhat a wonderful talk,
I am one of the generation that lived in the dark closet and found friends through the wonders of the internet, I remember it now…..I am not alone, I am not a freak I am part of a wonderful community and long may it grow and become the excepted part of society that is it’s rightful place.
