Creme de Menthe !!!! Did i order that !!! Sorry to anyone that likes it but IMHO it tastes like a bad cough syrup
l will order another truckload of grog from Dans, that should keep us going a week or soInside all day today so thought Id have another go at some writing
Two years ! almost since Transformal
For nine years it was quite normal
We looked so glamourous with our makeup
We”d give Katoomba quite a shake up
The Carrington was welcoming and served us cocktails
We were such a gorgeous group of females
We’d dine and dance until quite late,
it was a weekend to celebrate
Who we are .. and catch up with friends in Charlies BarAt one am the Bar would close
Time to take off our heels and rub our toes
On Sunday morning after Breakfast
Some would gather, outside, for a photo
We’d chat until the bus arrived as planned ,… by Adrian
It truly made the weekend Grand!
Some Girls would stay the afternoon
And take high tea in the dining room
Then at last on Sunday night a game of pool
Such a delight !
Not quite Pot Black but lots of fun
I went “in -off” we shoulda won!!Still…….
Lots of happy memories of those times
Im looking forward to Transactshon time !! -
Caroline,
Transaction? aren’t we all, waiting with baited breath. I guess we’ll have to wait until 2021.
Hope all’s well.

Liz, I was thinking about TransActSchon too. We must all be longing for social interaction at its most glamourous. I do hope that we don’t have to wait til 2021.

My Mk13 Crystal Ball says that we will be in a good position by October for TransActshon to take place, provided they don’t let any new cases into the country. :cheer: Mind you, it’s a while since I had it serviced. 😆
-
On behalf of The Magic Circle Club I can advise ladies that we are indeed planning TransActShon 2 for this year.
Obviously we need to be guided by government as to what they will allow us to do and when we are allowed to do it but rest assured your committee is working on all sorts of options and possibilities for this year’s event.
Naturally our first choice would be a full scale weekend as per normal but we will know more when the 90 day lockdown finishes (hopefully) at the end of May. Once we know what the lay of the land is we will advise accordingly I promise you. -
Sometimes I break my isolation by wandering around the local environs and taking photos of the native wildlife. I took this photo of two Rainbow Lorikeets sitting in a tree; I think one is saying: “Don’t worry my dear; I won’t let those nasty humans infect you with carona virus!”
-
My God, I’m already looking forward to the event even if it’s a case of a social distancing picnic in some isolated and perhaps desolated location. I’ll bring the gin.

Objective box ticked.
Lovely photo Martina . I suspect the caption may have more likely been. “”Lori .as soon as this photographer moves on let’s resume what we were doing “And Martina I think the Mk 13 Crystal Ball was a definite improvement over the Mk12 I think the timing mechanisms were improved and the probability function algorithms were enhanced.

Racing around the block on my wrinklies mobility scooter with my much superior partner (wife) trying to keep up and panting in the process, I had a rather profound thouight.
Corona Virus has for me and no doubt squillions like me a huge advantage. This social distancing, a bug bear for many is for my Myers Briggs type absolute bliss; introverts. No more being forced to interact with people who have no idea when to cease talking. Quiet, bliss, peace, a cup of coffee, a good book in a quiet corner in a comfy chair, that is heaven.
What do you reckon Caroline? -
Indeed, Caroline, I have just installed the Mk13.1 software in my crystal ball and the picture is remarkably clearer. I just hope it doesn’t become prone to overheating in the current climate.
And Liz, I agree with you entirely. We introverts have got it made! I have been able to be a girl every evening since we arrived back from overseas – without fear of guests coming to stay, visiting family or having to go to somebody’s place for a social gathering of some sort. Even the neighbours won’t come near us! It’s heaven for me.

Isolation is OK, but in my case it means my wife is home all the time and she does not approve of my dressing. So my weekly coffee dates with my friend Pamela have ceased for the time being. I have not been able to dress for 5 or 6 weeks now.
Such is life I suppose. At least I am alive.junr

There are indeed some benefits arising out of all of this and freedom to move about in your scooter sounds like fun what’s your 0 to 10km/hr time ??
( Only kidding Liz !!)
I ve been worried about t he additional noise coming from the emptying of our yellow bin in recent weeks. My dear wife jokingly suggested we could solve that by buying cask wine I said Mmm !! Don’t think so Darling!! -

I’m optimistic that Australia and
NZ may return soon to some closer version of life that we experienced 6 month’s ago.
It will be difficult to arrange the usual Glebe nights for quite a while .
However an opportunity is now available for us to meet up via ZOOM
Adrian’s post ISO Glebe has details
Let’s support this initiative
