    Hi everyone…..
I know there have been a few posts about lables and terms from time to time.
I am currently toying with using the term “*Converse Neuroligical Intersex” to describe my “Transsexualism” to others. Why ? Because, as we have discussed previously there is an awful lot of confusion in the public and even in the GLBI communities.
eg. I myself have been confused about Intersexualism having had some very wrong and presumptious misconceptions.
My thinking is that using the term *CNI sort of gives me a fresh start…that is to say it is without preconceptions and misconceptions.
When I first started researching about myself, I also was confused…..all these terms starting with “Trans…” and somewhat vague in defination.
The only problem is that I find the references to the term CNI rather scant to say the least…..

I am not particularly advocating use of this term by others….I just find it useful for myself, however I would be interested to know if anyone has any further information on the coining of this term and it’s subsequent use.
    Thanks & hugs…

    Monique

    Sounds good Monique

The full term is a mouthful.

If you say you have CNI, you are going to explain that one every time. But then again you will probably have their full curious attention and that can be a bonus particularly to those in close proximity like friends and neighbours, the ones you want to reach out to.

I can’t think of anything at the moment but a simplier term of the same meaning would require less explaining

See how you go and keep us updated. I like your direction of thought.
