Thanks to everyone who came along last night.
I had a great time and from the smiles I often saw on your faces I think you did also!!
The venue exceeded my expectations and Im sure we will have some sort of event there again soon.
Great to see Girls I hadn’t seen in ages and also some new faces.
Special thanks to Kristen James and Michelle for their support in making this event happen.
    Absolutely Fabulous!!

It is great that people had a great night out.
    But really dancing?
My understanding is that dancing and general mingling are banned in NSW at the moment.
    Events have to be seated.
It certainly is putting a damper on Christmas Parties in Sydney.

So if the law was broken on Saturday night… then please don’t post photos on TgR (or anywhere else if you want to stay out of trouble).

I didn’t see anyone dancing at the venue but I did notice Julie Anne was making some nice swaying moves on her way to the bar on those various occasions.

Adrian thank for your concern regarding your previous post.

Along the side of the venue Gasoline Pony, passed the Smoking area near the staff access was a fantastic place to watch the band. no one around i had the place to my self mostly.

Three windows gave a great view of the band the the audience and finally the mixer and booking agent Elmo. the band was great, female fronted singer guitarist with double bass and peddle steel guitar playing alt country and blues tunes.
so, i had my little fantasy land by myself.
letting my inner gyspy free. dance and kick up heels.

Now i am utterly embarrassed for sharing such a wonderful moment for me.
I have only done 3 Glebe nights, came out 6 months ago,
Transfussion was my biggest night ever.
as opposed to the girls of 10 -more years standing have seen it all before!

The Venue is my Local. !
Ever since it opened i have been performing there in several bands.
Divas, StereoBuss, The Lemurettes (Amy Winehouse covers) once a moth or 2 months.
Elmo was on the mixer when i walked in (breazy light skirt with my favorate steam punk corset) Elmo saw me and…. i said a loud big clear voice for the entire pub to hear
“Elmo, you never call me any more”
he laughed, every one had a giggle. I also meet Steve the owner of RPM records next door, I’ve recorded his bands and put him on Television a few times.
Suprise Darling ‘this is me now’. he laughed. It was so liberating
About an hour latter Elmo approached and asked. “Who was I ?”
He was obviously thinking about it a lot. the furrowed brow of thought. I started to rattle off a list of bands, and im a drummer, when the light bulb moment happened. and he remembered. It was so interesting to watch him try to figure it out. he did remember me, i watched as the cogs of logic turning in his mind, it took a moment before he remembered, clocked me and laughed. I’m finding the best way to show people my new self is to confront and put it out there.

I was more nervous (terrified) about presenting myself to the Established Ladies of TgR.

Thank you Caroline for putting on the night. I find new confidence and support from the group every time.

Sadley, No one took me home……
interested to hear Adrian’s covid comments on that subject,

    Julie

I could see you were enjoying and absorbing the pleasures of the night in a lovely way .the look on your face said it all!
An unforgettable night in so many ways and as I said before pure delight for me in seeing so many smiles .
No one needs to feel embarrassed or guilty .

I’m with Julie-Anne on this one: I was standing at the bar getting a drinkie (I know! Unusual huh?) when the band struck up a sensational version of “Suspicion”…i was also wiggling away to the rhythm right next to the COVID-19 Marshall. I did ask if what I was doing was ok and he assured me it was. I grabbed my drink and toddled off happily.
