Transgender teacher kills self after Daily Mail columnist Richard Littlejohn denounces her [Mar 22, 2013 ]Lucy Meadows was a teacher. Born male, Lucy transitioned to female later in life, a process that was supported by her employers. Writing at the Daily Mail—one of Britain’s largest-circulation newspapers—Richard Littlejohn publicly denounced her in terms usually reserved for child abusers. Not long afterward, Meadows killed herself.

Lucy Meadows, God rest her soul, the victim of media bullying, harassment and personal abuse. The media bullying perpetrated by Richard LittleJohn in the Daily Mail. Such publicity doesn’t help our educationing the public cause. There is a petition for the sacking of Richard Littlejohn, although I think he should be tried and, if found guilty jailed possibly for manslaughter. A sacking is a easy way out.
Fellow members of TgR please sign the petition, I have signed as a concerned POM. I hope they don’t send Littlejohn on a sabatical to Australia.

Not only were the UK press baying for Lucy’s blood, but also, any local who dared support Lucy in their comments made to the press, were turned away by the press.Jenifur Charne
