Good morning to all on TGR

    http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/programs/hack/georgie-stone/7957856

This young lady is an inspiration to us all, even old broken down CD’s like me…..

Yet again shows the future for all manner of “gender diverse folk” is so much brighter than when so many of us were her age.

Her parents deserve many accolades too for, (not that my dear 60’s thinking Dad knew anything different when I got “Sprung” in my Mum’s dress, but telling me that when I grew up my “peers” aka “The Boys In The Pub” would call me a queen”. ) their whole attitude to it all is a most welcome 180″ turn around from my experience..

I know I digress, but back in that era, was there ever a more “deep and meaningful font of wisdom and knowledge” than “T.B.I.T.Pub” ??

And they had to do it all between knocking off from work and getting kicked out of the pub by 6 o clock too!! Tho in some circumstances, more time for such earth shattering dissertations were available on the weekends at various other venues.

    Comments welcome on both issues.

    Happy Dressing
    Regards

    Caty

I do believe Georgie’s startling progress in her continuous journey for transition is a sign of the times. These times are a reflection of the growing level of acceptance throughout at least, Australia. It would be wonderful if such acceptance was throughout the continent, but alas, it isn’t and never will be, it would be a false hope. Such progress for Georgie is progress for us all and it is the tenacity of all the family which secured the award. Good luck to Georgie on her journey of self discovery.

Absolute credit should go to the parents who recognise that they have a child not a child to be expected to behave as a born stereotypical Male. How great is it to see this person and group defending the rights of others that may not be brave enough to speak out against discrimination. What a great article and how lucky are we to have role models like this teenager to continue to inspire us

Georgie is definitely an exceptional role-model for our young Australians; not merely for those of us with a few years tucked under our girdle.
How many of us would not endure years (or decades) of constant health issues if we could be her age once more.
Where, oh where, is our ‘fairy godmother’ when we could use her attention.
