Iam just starting out on my journey and already feel more relaxed when in womens clothes. It seems to feel more real as if this is who i was meant to be. But initial joy aside i seem to have struck a very large rock the mental side is to me a very hard hill to climb i find it very hard to think sometimes as Angela when im dressed and not as a male having a fantasy, i know this should change as time passes but is there anything I can do to speed up the process. Also what i would like to find is someone who can give me make up tips and lessons at my place as this with a wig and prehaps seeing myself as a woman will help the mental side as well.

A big thanks to all that read this and reply

    Hello Angela:

For make up tips and or a lesson in make up I suggest you find a professional make up artist, someone who works in theatre or film or TV.

They are the ones experienced in making people up. The sales assistants at product stores, while not bad, are sales assistants and not professional make up artists – so their prime goal is to sell you products.

A professional make up artist uses products that they think are the best products for them and do not have any allegiance to any one brand – AND they will not try and sell you anything.

In addition they can tell you WHY certain things are done, and when you understand this it makes it easier to understand make up in general I feel.

You may find a DVD produced by a professional make up artist helpful, a link is here (link)

    Angela,

There’s a couple of good groups in SA that can and will assist you in the transition and how to get made up and a few deportment ideas and tips.

The Carrousel Club is a very friendly group of CDs/TGs who meet monthly and also have dinner at TG Friendly Hotels every fortnight. Geena who is the membership person is a member of TgR and you can E-mail her through her profile. Yvonne who is also TgR is great with make up and getting your shape right, she too can be contacted through TgR.

It’d be great to see you at CC.

    Helen

Good practical advice from the earlier posters Angela. As to whether it’s OK to be doubtful about your thoughts when dressed, just don’t try to force things. If you feel relaxed and comfortable in female clothes just enjoy that. You don’t have to think anything special, there are no rules, go with the flow. A man fantasising is just as valid as a woman trapped in a man’s body. Take your time to work out who you are. It only took me 50 yrs.
