Guest01/11/2013 at 7:32 pmThe easiest way by far is to clip at front, slide the whole shebang around the back and WALLAH !! …It won’t stretch or go out of shape, the elastic is made with this in mind, …unless you wear the bra every single day for a year or two, which no one does.
Imagine trying to clip a vintage longline bra from the rear, …some women actually did that, before the advent of the styles we see today, although a lifetime of practice would make the task so simple for any woman. No male would ever develop the skill necessary without secumbing to anger, frustration and a stiff drink or three.
Another pearler is the convertible bra that challenges your right brain power, to flick those straps over whilst looking in the mirror. Darn left hand just won’t go where ya need it to, will it ??How about a sports crop top ?? Some are so dang tight, you can hear the elastic groaning to slip over shoulder width that they were never designed for. Others you have to step into and pull them up, then become a contortionist to get your arms through.
Clip at the front bras are a godsend, but not seen all that often. I prefer the ‘Wonderbra’ styles. So easy and comfortable. Snazzy colours too !!

Back when I was just a crossdresser, one soft cup bra I owned was a Playtex longline, bought when McDonnell & East were closing down due to bankruptcy. Hooking that bra up was an easy 10 or so minutes of agravation. I could easily hook up 2 hook bras, chicken wing fashion, but that longline bra routinely frustrated me. There was always at least one hook which refused to go in place, and in getting it in place, one or both either side of it would come undone.

I learned very fast, that to get the straps to go where I wanted, when I was wearing the bra as a cross back, I needed to have the straps already attached to the back, and flick them up and over my shoulders to the front for attaching to the front of the bra.
For using the bra as a halter neck, I’d have the strap attached to one side of the front, before putting the bra on, then slide the strap up and around the back of my neck, and back down for attaching to the other side of front of the bra.
And I’d always hook up that bra chicken wing style.Quote:How about a sports crop top ?? Guest02/11/2013 at 3:12 amDefinitely a chicken winger as is the other half. Although occasionally I have to do the bra up for her which makes it easier for me to visualise when I am putting my own on. When I have my breast forms attached I find that leaning forward a little as you put the bra on helps the forms sit in the cups a little more evenly and avoids that awful feeling of when the bra rips one of the forms loose and usually a quantity of skin as well.

Wonderful topic… I have always been a chicken winger and never actually tried the clip and twist… just old fashion I guess as this was always the way I had seen it being done either by my wife, mother or as observed in the movies. Another method I use regularly now and no one has mentioned is actually doing up the bra and stepping into it and sliding it all the way up and into place… maybe just lazy but works for me …giggle. Hi Girls,
I’m a chicken winger.
Amongst my female friends, some chicken wing, some twist.

Guest03/11/2013 at 12:15 amMorning gurls,
Wow…. My warped sense of humour sure has had an impact this time, (loud chorus throughout the land, “it was always more “bent” than a rusty nail”, Caty).
227 Views to date and by dint of the replys and the poll, 2/3 “wingers” 1/3 “turners”.
Keep ’em coming ladies…

Guest03/11/2013 at 2:11 amWhat a great topic; serious and funny at the same time…I confess to being a chicken winger except for the long line style when I become a twister and a turner.

Guest04/11/2013 at 7:21 amHi All
Chicken wing it if i can, the rear 3 clips bras some times are hard to get them all
So when i get it wrong or cant manage it , then i have to clip it up front and spin it around.
My ‘popular use’ bra is a straples front clip, i find it easier to wear , but can slip down at times, and i have to adjust it every few hours
I did ‘borrow’ a lovely pink regular style strap bra from my wife , but for some reason she tossed it out , i like it because it stayed in place all the time
cheers

O front are for beginners -
I have always been a chicken winger. It’s just the way you do it.
You never stretch your bras this way. just comes naturally to do a bra up from the back. -

I must tell my wife that! 😉
I tend to be a ‘clip and twist’ girl but I can manage the chicken wing approach with some bras. Undoing them is invariably chicken wing, unless any particular hook is being uncooperative.

Guest10/11/2013 at 9:49 amWell done to all who responded and viewed the “bra survey”.
The results are now in!!!
376 views, 29 Direct responses and backing this up was the poll that reflected a similar percentage to the “directs”.
We chicken wingers rule by a clear 2 to 1 majority. With apologies and sympathy to those who for various reasons cannot “wing it”.
Caty’s sitting here tonight “relaxing in her lingerie” before bedtime and her lacy PJ’s.
Looking forward to beddy byes and doing the ‘chicken wing” to take off my bra. Then bra less for the night with my forms attached.
Crossdressing is such fun…
Happy Dressing,
Cay
