I spent just on a hour with Natalie. Nothing is a bother to her. She is extremely ‘trans friendly’ as we talked and laughed our way through all things girl about hair, make-up and other Trans related things.
You get to try what you like and get it adjusted, trimmed etc as part of the service. There are private or general fitting areas depending on your needs.Anonymous replied 8 years, 6 months ago 0 Member · 6 Replies -

Does she do haircuts, as I’m after a feminine style for myself. -

Guest13/07/2012 at 1:57 amI have to agree – I bought a wig at Chiquel on Malvern Road a few weeks ago. I made an appointment for a Saturday morning. I went in male mode but had no issues choosing and trying on female wigs. They were very helpful and totally relaxed.
Highly recommended! -

Guest16/10/2016 at 2:39 amMy experience with Chiquel in Malvern Road, Armadale
I have got a few wigs that I had bought online that needed a professional touch for the fringe.
Chiquel offer a service for wigs that weren’t purchased from them. I called and made an appt for 2 wigs . They were very pleasant and professional and weren’t phased by the male voice.
Similarly when I went there. It was a weekday morning appt and there were no other customers there at the time. The service was excellent. The hairdresser did some shaping & fitting and gave me some useful care info.
Compared to a normal haircut, I guess the cost was comparable – but very reasonable. I did buy some of their care products.
I went back with another wig the next week.
As I am still finding my feet, so to speak, at venturing out in “femme” mode, I took this opportunity to go partway and went in slacks, blouse and mid heels with a modest attempt at soft make up.
I was glad I did as I was happier with the wig after it had been trimmed – together with the face it was framing
Once again the young lady hairdresser was very helpful & professional.
Absolutely recommend them
For anyone interested – the wigs I bought online are through Aliexpress in China – the site is
https://www.aliexpress.com/store/2348043?spm=2114.13010608.0.0.GK8b3F.The wigs with straight hair seem to be the more reliable. The wigs with curly or wavy hair dont seem to sit properly. The other drawback is that the colour choices are very limited – BUT they are reasonably priced.

Guest19/10/2016 at 3:04 amHi Bree
Thank you for your update on Chiquel.
I have been looking for something similar in Brisbane but without success for some time. So I made contact with Chiquel by email last night and a very nice lady from their Sydney store made contact with me today. The lady was very polite, helpful and respectful, as a result I am now making arrangements to send two or three of my wigs that need lots of tender love and care.
I also buy my wigs on line though from http://www.trendsgal.com. Like the site on line that you purchase from, there is only a limited choice but the price is right. But please girls don’t buy out all my curly Blonde wigs, I would just not know what to do with my hair if there was no more stock left
Hugs, Emily
