VIC: Clothing Alterations Melbourne
Hi to all on TGR,
Elsewhere I started a post about the wide variations in female clothes sizing and was pleased to learn I was not the only one struggling with this problem.
I had purchased a 3 piece ensemble locally and an on line “Chinese evening gown”, with the latter and the camisole top for the former far too tight in the bust.
So I asked mine and lots of TGR members favorite makeup artist, Michelle from Luminance Make Up Artistry, (late of TF 2015), if she knew anyone who could assist with alterations. Of course the “power of networking” worked a treat and she put me on to Melissa at Alter It in Hampton Street Hampton

Melissa was just great and now both pieces fit me perfectly. (Standing in the change room in socks and jocks, plus a bra and breast forms to be measured is a “tale” for another forum section and time), but it all worked out very well in the end.
Melissa also added “pull down straps” to either side of the zips in the above garments… Very handy when I dont have anyone to unzip me when taking them off.
Thus, anything you want altered, take it to Alter It Hampton.

PS A bit off topic, but Michelle also put me on to an Intimo lingerie distributor, Myf Browning in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. She’s a gem too and her products aree just gorgeous!!! Isn’t networking wonderful!!!

Hi all, thanks Caty for letting us know about Melissa at Alter It Hampton,. Went there yesterday to get a dress altered and she was wonderful, going back today for fitting, excited , dress is for my first dinner out at a restaurant with my wife and another couple.
