Guest13/12/2009 at 12:09 amVery friendly place, particularly bar staff who look after girls, mind you I was the only girl there on a Saturday night (except for the Drag Show!) Were quite a few girls in the night before though.

Guest06/07/2011 at 9:16 pmfrom MCV Magazine and comfirmed by DT’s staff
the following is a quote from the MCV website dated 7 July 2011Quote:DT’s Hotel to remain a gay pub
WRITTEN BY ANDREW SHAW | 06 JULY 2011Melbourne’s north side breathed a sigh of relief today following the announcement after weeks of speculation that DT’s Hotel in Richmond will continue operating as a pub for the LGBTI community.
In an exclusive interview with MCV, DT’s manager Bruce McKenzie said he has been informed by the new owner there will be no changes to the pub’s atmosphere and operation.
“I had a meeting with the new owner today and he wants to keep the place going as it is, I’ll be running it and all that sort of thing,” McKenzie said.
“After about 12 months’ time [the owner] says he might start renovating, maybe making the garden bigger, but it’s basically going to stay the same, he wants to make it bigger and better.
“It’s still the DT’s that everyone knows and loves.”
The news comes after two major gay venues in Melbourne closed recently – The Market and the Xchange hotels, both on the south side.
