To list all dual type names would be very difficult indeed because there would bound to be some that were missed.
My normal birth name is Ellis which could be translated into Elise, although I have been called Alice by the hard of hearing. My original birth name (pre birth) was Daphne, mother was absolutely convinced I was a girl. Guess she was half right. -

Mom gave me that name because i was going to have two other names as first names Mom kicked up big time & my short lived farther had no say, i do have 5 names, any way no-el to noeleena all sorted

http://forum.tgr.net.au/cms/forum/F149/1168-168My specific interest was to sample how many of us were given a unisex name at birth – hence the poll. Perhaps it is time for me to close off the experiment with the unexpected answer that 27% of nearly 100 respondents had a unisex name.
This was far far higher than I expected… or perhaps reflects an underlying gender ambiguity in the names we give our children.
