Guest16/04/2011 at 1:49 pmI love forties and fifties dresses and skirts. I have so many favourites. The great thing about being a girl is the shear number of styles and fashions to choose from. My first love was a pair of bright red five inch heels. I leant to walk in them and dance in them. Anything lower is a pushowver now
Underwear? For sheer enjoyment, sheer undies: silk and satin, stockings and fifties fully fashioned stockings.
For skirts, anything swirly. Fitted bodice and swirly skirts are my favourite. In private miniskirts with stockings. For easy wear jeans with skirt over the top.
So many favourites, so little time……
Love

That gives new meaning to the term “Killer Heels”
For my height, (5″7′) I couldnt wear anything more than 3″s. I love the sexiness of strappies, with dainty straps that wrap around the ancle, probably not suitable for winter, but pumps dont look so good on me. Although I found a georgeous pair in Big W for only $25 last week.
I want to start collecting 40s – 50s foundation garments, they have a very femmine look and feel that you no longer see today, although the modern shapewear is appealingJannine.XXX

Guest17/04/2011 at 4:39 am“Are Bike Shorts Dead ?” ……. Personally I think they are among the most sensual of outerwear and soooo comfy.
Not on my bike they’re not-but I do find I prefer Capris now.
“Is the classic Pencil Skirt Dead ?” ……Nothing like them to accentuate your curvy hips (that most of us dont have !).
If you can find a top that doesn’t make you look top heavy then they are still alive and well.
Do you like to just dag around in an oversize top and leggins ?….Daggy ? No way, just veeery sexy and slimming !
The only reason I’m answering this now is because it happened to be exactly what I was wearing when I sat down at the computer.
Do you enjoy a business suit or a frilly frock ??
I don’t llike too many frills but I love the ultra feminine. And strutting my stuff in a business suit at the appropriate time is good too; I am a woman with a willy after all!
What Do you love to wear most of all, like for bumming around the Ponderosa ??
Jeans and a top.
Do you like to dress up to do the housework, or pretend you’re in an episode of ‘Loveboat’.
Bumming around the Ponderosa usually includes housework. Other than planning ahead I dress for occasions only-but I do try to maximise occasions!!
I hope it doesn’t make me boring but I tend to wear what works rather than a particular style. I do try to find something elegant, I’m never going to pass so I think that steering clear of the outrageous may help me be taken seriously. Of course there was the night I went to the Republic looking like Chrissie Amphlett…
Gee, – the possibilities are endless girls. So let your imagination run wild !

Guest20/04/2011 at 1:12 amFelicity…..!
Crissie Amphlett ?? WOW, now she is/was a babe!
It sounds to me that you have syle, rather than blindly following fashion, for fashion’s sake, like some of us tend to do when we’re well and truly over the hill! …. Sez me whilst wearing my new calf – length black leggings and over size cardie!! Yep! Bought ’em yesterday, leggings, track and field pants, skinny spandex jeans, etc. All in all I blew 70 bucks at Savers…C/D Heaven !! LOL.

Guest18/03/2012 at 7:52 amMy for the most part of summer as little as possible, Lycra swim suit and thats almost it. Always look forward to Winter because thats when I dress to the max. I most times try to keep myself to eye pop and make others look and I enjoy that part of myself in having my own style and not trying to blend in with the wall paper!
Be damned if I ever wear anything with a hint of flowers on it.
