  • What does it for you – gets you in your female comfort zone?

Not sure if this theme has been tried before but I was wondering if there is one thing above all others that really gets you in your female comfort zone? I know we all prefer the final look that hopefully turns out like we hoped, but I know that as soon as I’m in a dress my Y chromosome starts to feel like a second X. Not a skirt and top, not lingerie (as much as I love it), not even getting the makeup perfect matches the spiritual transformation that goes with pulling a dress on. And the dress you choose can set the mood entirely. Can never figure why GGs want to wear pants so often! What does it for you?

    Hi Felicity

For me it’s a sexy pair of heels. I never feel more feminine than I do when I’m walking around in a nice pair of heels, but I must agree dresses do make me feel all that more femenine.

    Hey
    Very good question

It’s important I think becuase when you’re busy, tired etc you don’t always (often) have time to do the make up and spend time on the perfect ensemble. One alternative is to not dress at all… OR one could focus on one, two, three things that make one feel good and are easy to do

For me, tearing off the clothes I wore to work and throwing on a short skirt and singlet (already have the knickers on obviously…), a bra and forms means I can still spend time with the SO and kid, make dinner, clean up, fold washing bla bla bla but not feel like my needs aren’t being met

    cheers

    Hi Felicity,

I’m new to TRadio yet your topic I can relate to (regularly).

For me its having freshly shaven legs/body and a pair of panties on. I’m currently in Qld on extended leave from work and there’s alot to be said for the climate up here…

I agree with Sarah 2’s remarks about daily domestic trivia impacting on how femme one is when there’s still the mundane chores etc to attend to.

    Kind Regards
    Brenda

PS I’ll post my pics on this site soon

    Hi Felicity,

I have found applying make up gets me in my comfort zone, always enjoy that part of the “process”.

Also I agree girls, love the feel of a nice dress. I figure I wear pants enough in male mode so i make the most of getting in a dress !

I am told, altho’ I have a full head of hair, that I change when the wig goes on. To me, tho, it is the very final touch – I always apply my lipstick last – after the wig, after jewellery and even after the scent! The lippy sets it off especially a nice full crimson.

    Hi

This is a good fun question. For me it has changed as I grew older. When I was young, say teen young, it was simple underwear, bras and the like furtively picnched from next door while I was house minding. Stll later, the layering with suspenders, petty coats, and half slips-Alas when will they come back!!. Then later, it was makeup, and experimenting with colours. Still later (I am 50 now), a skirt really kicks in the Y chromosone and still does. Based on this progression, which is time and path dependant, I guess at 70 it will be a lovely centre peice of Jewellry-nothing less than 5 carats!!

Hi everyone, this is an interesting thread, I like the question. My answer is quite simply being able to be me. I hate going to work looking like a guy even though I know that I have to do it to keep my house in the short term. Being able to be the crazy redhead that I am, even with my family is what gets me in the mood so to speak, quite simply just taking my journey in life.
