    Hi Girls
I have a problem with a very itchy scalp after wearing a wig for a few hours; especially in warmer weather when the scalp starts to perspire. It is so bad that I have to take the wig off – not a good look!

I do not have any scalp diseases.

Any ideas to reduce this problem please?

A question would be – what type of material is your wig? Human hair or synthetic? Many people can’t wear synthetic wigs because they get too hot and don’t breathe.

Do you have your own hair or is it resting directly on your scalp?

Do you use a wig cap at all?

A bit more information would be helpful in helping you find a solution.

    Thank you Portia

I have a rather large part in the centre of my head. Therefore the wig is on both bare skin & my own hair.
    My wigs are synthetic.
I have used a wig cap; it does help but does not resolve the problem completely.

The only solution that I can think of would be to try a natural hair wig as opposed to synthetic. It seems you have tried most everything else unless someone else has a solution for you.

They are a lot more expensive, but if you can get a comfortable wig which suits you, it would be an excellent investment. Just need to get up the courage to actually try some out. The best thing is they give good service and usually style it to suit you as well.

    Good luck hun.
