Winter weather
Posted by Anonymous on 03/05/2014 at 7:44 amToday is a windy wet and threatening to snow sort of a day up here where I dwell and I love !! Well.. I love the chance to wear more clothes and especially bright colours as well as hats, scarves and coats. Lately I have been pushing the envelope..no not in the Post Office ( silly!) but the TG one and am enjoying the opportunity to shop for warmer clothes and stuff. I pity you poor buggers who live without our cruel..I mean bracing..winter weather.

Guest03/05/2014 at 7:40 pmYep, I love Winter, ..I’m a June baby and I love the chance to rug up; hats, scarves, coats and gloves, out walking in the cold and a warm snug feeling inside. I have my ugg boots and lots of bright colours to wear. It’s far easier to warm up and keep warm, than to try to get cool in the hot weather.
Sometimes I wish it would snow … am I weird, ..or what ?? -
Hi Jannine,
Wishing for snow is not weird, it’s perfectly sane. For a quick snow report, there was a dusting of snow at Thredbo yesterday and more was expected overnight and today, this could be a good season.
Cheers Jenn

Guest04/05/2014 at 5:04 amAfternoon all,
My heading comes from a TGR friend in WA and she “got it in one”.
Due to the fact I dont go out in public en femme, the clothing referred to above is for others to enjoy and good luck to one and all.
For me in my private dressing, winter holds the following advantages/.
1/. And I’m sure it goes for all, I dont “overheat” so quickly like I do in summer. This is due to the fact that I cant go hairless, so more clothes are needed for “coverage”.
2/. Given the above and the cooler weather, I can “layer up” under my dresses, (pants are for when I’m in “male mode”). Lots of lovely frilly lingerie, cami’s, half slips etc etc. Love the matching sets, I’ve collected over the years…
3/. I can feel much more “femme” when “tightly corseted”, especially if I’m doing my “period clothing” thing. Corsets are far too hot in summer
4/. I can dress in my “Sheduior”, (aka my very large shed). It’s far too hot in there in the summer and twice over this summer I’ve left “evidence” in the house when I dress there and ‘er indoors has found same. (So far so good, I haven’t been thrown out…).
5/. As I have a “neighbour from hell” who would tell everyone within about a 50 k radius about Caty if she found out, the shorter days mean that when I move from my day in the Sheduior to the house for the evening, darkness provides a good “cover”. Tho I usually revert very briefly to the male me for that trip. But still wearing lingerie underneath and with breast forms still attached, so darkness helps a lot there.
So that’s my lot and here’s to lots of cold days when we are dressing.
All the best
Caty

Ah! yes, I used to relish at the advent of winter to ‘cover up’ and venture out semi hidden, but no longer.
I now relish the advantage of mincing in the winter air in smart overcoat, perhaps a scarf and whatever I can comfortably wear on the feet.
Canberra today am experienced relatively warm sunshine as we ventured out to the ‘markets at Kingston. This afternoon snow laden clouds blotted out the sun and I think we are in for a very cold night. Ah! the joys of Canberra living.
I think of Cairns; who the hell wants snow? -

Guest04/05/2014 at 10:11 pmGotta say that I love the warmer weather and daylight saving. Sleeveless and strapless tops with short(er) skirts – breeze and sun on my shoulders, hair brushing my back – just pleasant memories – oh and lots of photos
Still I can’t change what is. Cold weather won’t stop me enjoying life particularly love my boots. And yes, I have my hair to keep me warm now.

Guest05/05/2014 at 6:16 amYES ! As an old girl who cant take hot weather much I welcome winter .I dont know about other girls but its so more comfortable dressing uP in winter- putting on all the girlly things from underwear to slips, petticoats tights or pantyhose along with blouse – skirt or dress over a full compliment of underwear and being able to wear all this without suffering heat stroke
i think its easier to “pass ” in cold weather because of what you can wear and because people are usually not that interested in looking
closely ( well not outdoors at least ) at you …
From my dressing point of view ‘roll on winter !’Suzz

As much as i love winter for dressing in stockings boots etc and not over heating , i must say im looking forward to the warmer months as i have just got myself some swim wear and im looking forward to trying them out , i have never gone swimming dressed before so something to look forward to later this year .
Unless i can find a hot tub ..lol
I envey Michelle as i struggle in the warmer months to even keep make up on, i feel the heat mroe than other i guess , but i did get to wear my lovely summer dress this year and loved every min of it . -

Guest14/05/2014 at 12:16 pmHi Girls,
I love the cold weather. I suppose it comes from living in Canberra for so long. But at least we can dress up without the fear of makeup running, sweating in a heavy wig, or the obvious discomfort when wearing pantyhose in hot weather. It is much easier to rug up and stay warm than it is to try and shed clothing in the heat whilst trying to retain a degree of modesty.
As a good friend of mine, also a member, Lilly, says “crossdressing is a cold weather sport”.
Bring on the cooler weather.Hugs,
Connie. -
Another point of not fun, about the warmer months, is perspiration behind your breasforms.
With winter, this becomes less of an issue since it’s colder, so you’re less likely to overheat and perspire, and you don’t risk winding up with a line of perspiration dampness showing on your clothes below your bustline.Jenifur Charne

Guest15/05/2014 at 7:44 amI have always loved the colder weather, as I’ve never travelled well in the heat, especially humidity.
Even before I was aware, I trialled pantyhose under trousers for the snow country and found it doubled the efficiency of bulky thermals. Today decades later, I’ll wear opaque tights under trousers when in male mode (outside, as I only dress in private) Gives me warmth, AND sensuality !
Add to that a figure-shaping cami and life is nice. -

Guest15/05/2014 at 10:29 amI to love the colder winter weather. As ‘under dressing’ is all I can do in public, winter presents so many opportunities. At times I can get away with a male jumper and shoes with everything else female…
In summer I’m limited to underwear only.
