xemos laser and e pens
Posted by Anonymous on 28/08/2013 at 7:08 amHi has anybody tried or had experience with home hair removal products particularly xemos laser and e pens I realize these would be impractical for large areas, but for the stubborn few hairs that usually need to be removed via tweezer, any help would be appreciated.

Guest28/08/2013 at 11:46 pmHome lasers and ipl of which i have both systems do work though the thicker hairs can still be and issue. Epens are as far as I can tell useless. Nothing is as good as the real lasers in the hair removal salons , if its only a small number you would be better off just getting it professionally done .

I just had my face and neck refried. $70 and 15mins in the salon. Each time lasts longer. I do shave as well to stretch the time between sessions as I use obviousness of beard shadow after shaving as my criteria for going back. I’m currently going once every two months.

Guest29/08/2013 at 7:56 pmI bought a Groupon offer of 5 IPL treatments for $79. ..Massive saving. The salon girls told me that I would need approx. 7-10 treatments to remove facial hair, so after the 5 treatments they would only charge $50 per session.
I often get the same deal, but at different salons around Melbourne, ..which means that if I were smart I could buy another offer for $79 and get the whole job done soooo cheaply.
I use an epilator for body hair, a Braun Silk Epi. It is very efficient at defuzzing but the downside is that it does hurt a little and it takes a good hour to do every area. I find the light must be just right to see the hairs (I do mine outside in the sunlight), but the result is way better and so much less messy than using wax. If you consider that you are pulling out around 7 hairs at once with an epilator, ..then that is the pain level you will experience, ..but not as painful as using wax strips. …Sort of like a mini electric shock.
The principle behind epilators is that hair is pulled from the root and that body hair will become less dense over time, meaning you won’t have to use it so much and hair will become easier to pull, provided you moisturise daily, which you should do anyway. I moisturise after my shower, while my skin pores are open.
After epilating you may feel a rash on some areas, so a little Aloe Vera gel works wonders. Don’t use moisturiser after epilating as it will clog the hair folicles and lead to skin problems. -

Guest30/08/2013 at 7:49 pmThanks again for advice yes I own and use an epilator god the first time I used it I looked like id been in a fight with a porcupine yeow!! still think waxing is less painful maybe the heat anyway we do what we have to do right ? Had a look at a few laser clinics on web does pay to shop around, like I said I already bought epen and laser (can’t resist a bargain) though by the sound of it they may be of better use as a doorstop lol .It’s not large areas im wanting to target its a few strays that just bug me so seems as I have em I’ll give them a try, keep you posted on results if any .
