  • Yahoo Mail, no email access without no privacy from ads

Today Yahoo terminated all access to Yahoo Mail Classic.
There is no longer any way to access your Yahoo Mail accounts without accepting the Terms and Conditions to the New YaHELL Mail.
One condition is: You MUST permit YaHELL to datamine ALL your emails, new and in storage in your account, for them to carry out ad spamming on.
And since you can’t log into your account without accepting the new Terms and Conditions, you can’t get at your emails to clean your account out in advance of being datamined.

Its likely they’ve been doing it for years, just covering their asses now.

I believe this sort of ‘data mining’ has been happening for years as this is how a lot of servers email systems determine what is ‘spam’ and what is a legitimate email.
I receive no ‘spam’ at all through the Avast filters, the only junk mail I receive is from shopping websites that I am a member of and some times TGR emails because as they are sent to a large number of people my system can some times think they are advertising.
I stopped using Yahoo online email system as it was mostly spam, advertising and utter rubbish that clogged up any real emails that I was looking for. At one stage I was receiving over 80 emails a day, which is ludicrous. I couldn’t be bothered to fine tuning the system so I just cancelled it and trusted my new security system, which is the best I have ever used.
    Cheers…Karly

No problems with my Yahoo email. Still same classic version and I hardly have any spam. Maybe 5 or 6 a month. I think it’s more to do with sites you visit and who you send emails to.

That could have been the problem there Fay, I no longer had the Classic System as it all changed after that. Maybe I didn’t tick a box or something similar when it changed.
