    Hi to all on TGR,

One of my very favorite lingerie suppliers, Ladybird Lingerie in Gympie QLD, (tell ’em Caty sent you), has a very funny blog about young girls having to wear their first bra.

Made me think this would be a good topic for discussion on TGR. So I’ll start the “cup” rolling.

I used to buy quite a few each time I went on an interstate business trip, but ‘cos I was so scared of bringing anything home, I’d dump all the “good gear” before I flew back. But I do clearly remember buying a lovely white lacy Hickory 16B in a nice sole lady owner lingerie shop in Adelaide. I used to fill it with the old “birdseed/rice in a stocking foot trick”. (Lipstick on the toe of the stocking made a nice nipple, at least I thought so… .)

In fact although it is now unwearable, (it’s stretched and I use a C Cup these days), I still have it as a “memento of days gone by”.

Anyone care to add to my experiences???

On a slightly different note from another great lingerie supplier/website, the ladies at Velvet Jayne in Miranda, Sydney have a great blog on bra fitting. In terms of (discreetly) inviting folks such as us to come in and have one, they use the term “secret self”.

    Brilliant marketing…

All the b(r)e(a)st.. and as always Happy Dressing,

    Caty

My first bra for myself was from a little Asian underwear store in a local but very quiet shopping centre. I had purchased a couple of bras before that were actually for my girlfriend. One weekday morning, I went in and found a very ornate red bra and knicker set. The older woman running the store asked me if I needed help. When I said no she plainly said my chosen bra was unlikely to fit me, but she was happy to help me find something in my size and even try it on.

I only bought the one bra (14B) and knicker set that day (and some stockings to fill with rice for breast forms), but went back many times to see the other items she had in my size. And yes, it fit well, though these days I prefer a C cup. Sadly the shopping centre was upgraded a few months later and led me to searching Newtown for other great high street stores.

The bra and knickers didn’t survive more than 6 months as it was purged. Thank god I am lucky enough to no purge Sammie’s stuff anymore.
