It’s great to see something like this happening – well done Caroline for pushing the barrow on what is probably the most constant issue confronting many of our sisters.

I am forever single but have been married in the past luckily with a supportive partner – not actively I should add, and often through gritted teeth, but supportive nonetheless and I would have encouraged her to get involved in a program like this. Like we all at one time felt, our partners often think I believe that they are the only ones on earth with this situation on their hands…which, of course, is a nonsense.
It may not resolve everything with your partners ladies but it will perhaps take the edge off things and assist with understanding on both sides.

Well done Caroline – you’re a good soul dear friend and I wish you every success x

Sorry ive been a bit quiet but i thought everyone had heard more than enough from me over the TransActShon weekend lol.
Everyone has been so kind in their comments about the Magic Circle Club’s first event…and I’ve had a number of private messages from people who were there as to how they become a club member so I thought i should write down the process so pay attention as there may be a quiz later:
    1. You already are a member. The Magic Circle Club is for anyone who is either a member of TGR or could be a member of TGR or a sister organisation.
    2. There is no point 2.

Keep in touch Bitches – I love you all xxx

Dear Fay, getting to know you with The Magic Circle Club has been an absolute joy and a privilege – you are certainly not in the “too” or “but” category……and it looks like you will be stuck with by devoted friendship forever now honey.

I can’t wait to share a bubbly or 100 at TransActShon in October with you!

Folk in the closed minded community (they are generally the loudest voices aren’t they?) are always quick to jump the gun and stir up a huge crap-fight over what will end up being a minor issue.

The sky was apparently going fall in a number of years ago when TG footballer Hannah Mouncey announced she was going to nominate for the AFLW Draft. Who would draft her they cried? What was each clubs’ position on having a TG person on their list? She would have a significant physical advantage the nay sayers moaned. Oh me, oh my. I feared none of this – the reason being is I had actually seen Hannah play and she was “ok” but certainly not up to AFLW standard. She was barely getting a kick in a very minor league so there was zero chance of her being drafted by anyone.

I suspect the same will apply with Cricket Australia. I don’t know about you girls but my feminine journey has not been based upon an opportunity to wield the willow at my local women’s cricket club. My extensive experience in community sporting clubs however does tell me that they are, in the vast majority, welcoming and inclusive to all regardless of whether a position has been formed by the governing body. I doubt many TG’s will take this up but as we have seen and heard it actually looks like they’ve (CA) formed an opinion on the matter that is not based on the thoughts of some drunk fat blokes sitting at their keyboards but rather they have gone to the science. Bravo!

As I finish writing this I may re-consider my retirement from competitive sport…I look quite hot in a Hockey strip ;)

Just to clarify the above for all attendees: No one will be filmed on the night who doesn’t consent to be filmed and it will be easy to dodge the camera I assure you xx

Regarding the above: If anyone, as I know many are, is contemplating making their “debut” at TransActShon out-in-the-real-world but are still uncertain whether or not they can find it within themselves to do so may I please advance the following points to consider:

    1. We will pretty much have the run of the hotel for the entire weekend and it will be highly unusual that you will be able to walk 3 steps without bumping in to another CD/TG. If you are in the bar then that reduces to one step as I will predominantly be in there.

    2. You will not walk in to any of the weekend’s functions to find everyone you’ve ever known in your entire male life standing there glowering, in tears, or looking surprised at you. The Magic Circle Club elves have been busy running around the country discreetly taking photo’s of everyone you know, or in fact have ever known, and these photo’s will be kept at Reception to enable us to bar any un-authorised entry.

    3. For any newbies coming along we will have someone available from the Magic Circle Club to hold your hand if you feel you need it. After an hour on your first day you won’t need it I promise you.

    4. If you have any questions please feel free to Private Message myself or Fay and we will assist with your enquiries.

    xxx

Doesn’t pretty much everyone in Vatican City wear a dress?

I completely agree! It is one of my life’s ambitions to have my bottom pinched on the Piazza!
