One of the interesting things I have come to realise about my TG life is that I take a lot more care about my looks, wardrobe and womens fashion. My MM self just does what is necessary with maybe a bit of flare; but as Jane I am forever looking at what other women wear, what is in the current mags (even at the hairdressers or dentist, I leaf through the girls mags) and think what would suit me, can I afford it, will my bum look too big (I hope so! :D ). I seem to take a different view on these things which I did not previously….hmmmmm. I am not sure where it goes but it is fun and that is what I like about it.

    Hi Girls,

I have been a sporting person for many years and have also experienced the giveaway tan line on the arms. Mine are gradually receeding.

I have now taken up using IceRays SPF 50+. Check out their web site at http://www.icerays.com.au/. They are becoming a very acceptable alternative way of protecting your arms without using either sunscreen or bulky sleeves. They come in a few colours. It will take some time to loose that tan line; but as with many other things we have to deal with as TG girls I have found it worth the effort! The other observation is that both men and women now use them.

When I go into a restaurant or shop the wait staff or shop assistants nearly always address me as madam – may I help you madam, what would you like madam. Whether they really see me as a woman or are just being polite it nevertheless gives me a buzz!

The other evening I (as Jane) went to dinner with a MM friend. The rather young waitress came over and asked ‘Guys, would you like to order?’. I was taken aback somewhat; but said nothing and ordered. I said to my friend did the waitress read me? He said not to worry as that is how many young girls and guys address each other regardless of their gender. I then realised that I as a MM have done the same thing when a group of people are involved and are mixed male and female i.e. addressed the group as ‘guys’.

So I was OK with it but still…….I like the old fashion way!

Just wondering if you went in CD/TG mode? I was thinking of going along as Jane and thought it may be great to be a bit out there for others to see us in such a situation :D

I have tried the lipstick approach and while it is OK when you put it on under foundation, removing it can be quite a chore. I still prefer a concealer first and then 2 layers of foundation. I think getting the right fundation colour is the secret and the best way to do this is to go to DJs or Myer and have a session with one of the makeup girls – can be a bit challenging for some of us TG girls but if you want to get it right go to the experts :P
