Fab night again @ The Friend in Hand. Big roll up. Thanks Tanya for organising even though you weren’t there! You were missed.

Just noticed the next pub night is the 16th. Are we now doing the 3rd Friday of the month rather than the second last Friday?

May I just add a big thank you to Adrian as well for starting these nights way back when I was quite the newbie! I’ve never not looked forward to catching up with the varied group of girls each month. I’ve made some wonderful friends over the years. K. xx

I’m still coming to terms with Jaimie’s passing. I feel there has been no closure for me. I’m now kicking myself I didn’t travel down to Melbourne to see her when I had the chance.

I measure in at around 5′ 11″ and I usually wear 3”-4.5″ heels. (I’m hanging in there for as long as I can!) so I know I stand out. Sure, if things were different I’d be happy to be a couple of inches shorter, have narrower shoulders, bigger bum & hips, flatter stomach, smaller hands, less body hair etc etc.

My point is you just have to own it! There is a very small percentage of trans girls who pass. So, go with what you’ve got. It’s wasted energy worrying about things you can’t change. Don’t be afraid to be noticed. Let’s face it, if we all passed unnoticed, that would do nothing for our community. The key for me is dressing appropriately for where you are going and what you’re doing. Doesn’t mean you can’t dress with an edge. We want to be seen just not with neon lights above our heads!

My philosophy is, most people will notice pretty quickly i’m not a genuine female but if they say, ‘I know she’s not a real girl but wow, she looks pretty good’ that’s as much as I can hope for & I’m more than happy with that. For the record, I love tall girls.

Hi Caro. I’d be interested in checking it out. Besides, Transfusion being at the start of Summer, as long as it’s got air-con, I’m in! ;)
