Beautifully written Adrian.
As someone who organises events for a living I concur on knowing what’s involved. It’s the fine details which make the difference, but there’s a multitude of them and they are mentally and physically exhausting to put them all together. Yes you get a great deal of satisfaction from the events, but they do drain you.
I have never been to TransFormal or TransActShon (timing never works for me as it’s in the middle of my work events season), but all I hear are good things and loads of energy and enthusiasm. I can only hope that all who attend appreciate what it takes to put on events like these and if there are little things which don’t go to plan, empathy is shown in working them out. At the end of the day it’s not a business putting on these events (would be a damn sight more expensive if it was), just a group of enthusiastic volunteers trying to do their best for the community x

Confirming that the next TGR Social has been booked for Friday 16th September @ 7:30pm, The Friend in Hand, Glebe. Bring your fabulous selves along and that wild/naughty streak for which you are all becoming famous……..or is it notorious …….. 🤔
