“Roamin in the gloamin……”
Hi Ladies
Long time no see/hear?
Sometimes life gets in the way doesn’t it? I shall give a brief dot point run-down of what I’ve been up to in the last few weeks/months:
– I left my home in beautiful Hobart because I had to chase the work.
– I lived in Melbourne for a few weeks doing a contract job. Loved it!
– I returned to Adelaide to do a few contract jobs.
– I’ve helped nurse my dying sister (a really awful thing I do not recommend)
– I have lived like a gypsy in about a dozen Airbnb’s. I am sick of moving.
– I have fielded a few interesting job offers around the country.
– I have accepted a job offer.So the big news is I am relocating to the nation’s capital, Canberra, for a new gig. This will have 2 x immediate repercussions:
1. I shall certainly shake up the local Canberra Trans scene as I did in Tasmania.
2. I shall certainly be seen frequently in Sydney from September so lock up your loose t-girls.….and for those wondering, yes I am contemplating a political career seeing as I will be in the heart of our democracy. “Emma Thorne’s Swingers Party” has a bit of a ring to it don’t you think? Who’s with me?…..

I suppose congratulations are in order on being selected to abide in our glorious God’s country, Canberra, or should I say, the ACT. We are a sleepy lot especially the Trans community, but then the whole population is both sleepy, lackadaisical and probably, should I say inept. So, be aware. Oh, we’re here alright, first Saturday evening of the month, AGA House, Chinese nosh and scintillating conversations and debate. Oh, and occasionally dining at salubrious restaurants. AGA is about support, education (for the uninitiated) and advocacy, otherwise travel to Sydney, which you can’t. Canberra is a particularly safe location for us aging weirdos.
I’m looking forward to writers talk, please join ACT Writers, they’re quite lively. -

How wonderful you are only 2 hrs or so from Sydney!!! wow !! looking forward to embracing you with open arms (not legs!!!) :blush: :blush: :blush: and a nice glass or bottle of wine.
Speaking of which I would be happy to serve you as Minister for Alcohol as Ive been practising my skills in the administering of the lovely nectar of the grape over the last several months and believe I could contribute much to your Ministry

Dear Liz,
I’ve never been one for advocacy groups as I’ve never felt any of my rights as a citizen have ever been threatened…..having said that though I will certainly pop along to the Chinese night as I am nothing if not social. Keep me posted when they are on please….I will be ensconced in the ACT as of the first week of September.
Everywhere I’ve been in my life I’ve been pre-warned is “quiet”; “sleepy”; “hidden” etc but the reality has always proven otherwise. I expect Canberra to be no differentDear Caroline,

Things are generally only grey and bland when someone else paints them that way I am loud and colourful and come complete with my own paintbrush…so it’s a bit like a drunken Anh’s Brush With Fame. I’m looking forward to meeting all you ACT girls and forming a new “gang”. -

Taking the plunge into the political merde of our nation’s capital with, “Emma Thorne’s Swingers Party.” We definitely need a strong mistress, minister-es or senator-es to remind the grey brigade of politicians there’s colorful real people beyond the boundaries of post code 2600.I recently retired to the state of CO-Victoria-19 and removed the Cams & Combat Boots of my working career and have been offered a new part time job this week as a secretary at TGV, https://tgv.org.au/ by the Development Manager. I’m excited to now be one of the working women in a corporate style environment as one of the heels and handbag clique. If you send me a brief dot point that you want to turn into party policy, I may be able to help.
I must warn you about one dangerous horde in Canberra, The Red Headed League in the Red Chamber, and their followers. Sir Author Conan Doyle has published works in the past on how dangerous, The Red Headed League is. Do not despair dear Emma, I will point you to an ally of the Rainbow Spectrum citizens of our nation, she had a TG partner till they passed a few years ago. Her politics maybe green, but she is a sworn enemy of The Red Headed League, Senator Janet Rice may be an ally of convenience for “Emma Thorne’s Swingers Party.”

Thank you very much honey for taking the time to clue-me-up on what I know, from my extensive studies of the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (it’s true! I LOVE The Great Detective and have read them all several times), are a dangerous troupe to be considered carefully at every encounter.I’ll also be happy to take your advice and recommendations on any t-friendly folk here in the nations’ capital. Me, being me, I have already made some announcements on various sites as to my availability for drinkies and probably more drinkies…plus other social activities.
My apologies for the very tardy response….the methods I needed to use to get here in the first place would have impressed General Sir John Monash himself, which I know would please you.

Ah Emma Im sure you will have a fabulous time in Canberra it does have a lot to offer, though they tend to hide it. A suggest a viewing of the movie “Smallville” though is suitable orientation and provide you with the opportunity to add some colour to Burley Griffin’s dream.

It may be fortuitous that you’ve enquired after my availability in your business as I am increasingly convinced that the engineering field (my field) is completely over-represented in the crossdressing space – and I loathe being predictable.
I love the title you’ve afforded me! I think I can say, without fear of contradiction, that I have fulfilled many positions over the journey with equal success – although I suspect I may be past positions including : back-seats; alley ways; coffee tables; and chandeliers.
