  2001 a website odyssey

  Remember 2001?
  The year we realised that the “Year 2K bug” had been and gone and we were still alive, and that the International Space Station wasn’t going to broadcast Strauss waltzes round the clock.

  It was also early days for websites, as Geocities had just announced a way to build personal websites with a domain name. And so http://www.trannyradio.com/ was born out of a collection of early websites.

  The other day I was tidying my backup CD collection and I found a very old copy of some ZIP disks (remember the ZIP drive?) I once had.

  And there was a copy of the two websites I was working on in 2001 – the forerunner of TgR, and the first website for NSW Seahorse.

  To show everyone how far we have come in 15 years I’ve uploaded them and tweaked them to run in 2016.
