ASIC Records show former Names!
I am a director of companies that are relevant to my business. When I changed my name legally, I am required to notify the Australian Securities and Investment Commission within 28 days. When I did this, I am required to have my previous name left on the public record. So if someone does an ASIC search on me my Transsexualism will be evident.
I am now wondering whether this is actually the way it should be. Unfortunately, AISC is set up under Federal Law and does not come under the current Anti Discrimination Laws which are State based.
If any one has any ideas I would love to hear them.
Jade
