Beefburgers Champignons
This recipe dates back to my time at University!
But I still cook it when I need some comfort food.1 rasher lean bacon cut in small pieces
4 beefburgers
1/2 level tbs flour (best cornflour)
1/2 beef cube
60 ml water
1 large tomato, skinned, and chopped
60g button mushrooms thinly sliced
1 tbs red wine
pepper
fried onion rings and pickled gerkins to garnishFry bacon till crisp, remove from pan
Fry beefburgers in bacon fat for 7 min turning at intervals.
remove from pan and keep warm.Pour of all but 1/2 tbs of fat.
Stir in flour and gradually add water and stock cube.
bring to boil stiring.
Add bacon, tomato, mushroom and wine.
Bring to boil, season with pepper.
Simmer for 5 mins.
Add beefburgers and summer for a further 5 mins.Serves 2
