Only 4 more sleeps until we go aboard for our epic voyage!

Since it was Transgender Day of Visibility last Friday. I thought we could celebrate that this comi g Friday. I have a Large Transgender Flag for some photo opportunties.
I wondee if we can persuade the Captain to fly it from the mast on the Bridge????

So far !! … The Bureau of Meteorology forecasts for Coastal waters on our Route from Melbourne to Sydney look favourable .. Ie a llitle windy and choppy seas but our vessel can handle that easily.

What time are you planning to arrive at the Melbourne Station Pier Gates? I plan to be there at about 1pm and may meet up there with Theresa and Lucy, also possible, Fay and Shana. Any body else planning to get there around then ?

And one final tip/suggestion. When we get into our cabins there will normally be a slip of paper that advises our meal time AND table. I know our agent has suggested everything is sorted so we can sit together, but it is not unusual for the table allocations to be incorrect.

So I suggest that, as soon as possible after boarding, we contact each other to ensure our tables are correct. If they are not, some of us will have to go down to the main restuarant (probably around 3- 4pm) where the Maitre Dee accepts/rejects table change requests – and there are offen queues of people trying to talk to him.

So please communicate with the others in the group as soon as possible after boarding.

It is hard to believe it is only 3 nights to go – safe journeys, and i look forward to meeting those of you I haven’t met before.

From the Ashes of Transformal 2018 An event idea arose as a Phoenix in the name of “Cruise to Nowher “(sic

I have to say this Phoenix flew very high and exceeded expectations on many fronts and surpassed Transformal in one key factor that is very important to me these days, the enjoyment of mixing with the wider public.

We flew the Transgender Flag at a group photo opportunity and very soon a fellow passenger amongst a group of ladies came over to ask what the Flag stood for. A lovely conversation then developed amongst us. Priceless !!!
Many other situations like that arose during the voyage.
It wouldn’t take two seconds for me to decide YES to do this again if the opportunity arises .
Thanks to a great group of TGR Members you know who you are .. Love you !!! ( and of course Geoff and Helen) who signed up for this cruise and made it SO enjoyable
Finally, thanks to Shana for the concept, working through all the issues that were of concern and resolving them.

Thanks to Shanalee and all who helped organise one of my most memorable events of our community.
It was pretty special spending four days with wonderful friends in a beautiful setting experiencing all sorts of new encounters.
Unfortunately this photo is only eleven of our fourteen group members.
Hope we can do it again.
    Jan.
