    Thanks.

Unfortunately Princess have adjusted their prices during the day so now balcony cabins are priced at $569 despite Princess still advertising them at $344. (
It may be worth our agent putting pressure on Princess to let us have them at $344 as we are a reasonably sized group booking
This web link may point you towards the cabin selection and booking area of the Princess web site

Sorry to build up hopes but I’ll keep my eyes on their prices in case something like that comes up again

    Shana,
I am overseas on a cruise till 28 January.
I forgot to bring details of my April cruise booking so if final payment is due before the 28 Jan could you ask Cleancruising to give me an extension of time till I return to Australia.
    Many thanks,
    Steph

    Hi Cruise to Nowhere Cruisers

Finally have an answer from Princess Cruises Team

You can be presented as you wish, there is no problems for embarkation or anytime throughout the cruise.

When you check in with your ID you will get your cruise card, this has to remain the same as per the ID. They were trying to find ways to get your preferred names showing on here but the director said this has to be the exact same as per maritime law for all fire and safety regulations.
So what happens next is the ship has a manifest of your cabin numbers and preferred names, they will have all your cabin name signs , in cabin collateral , hotel and your wait staff know you as your preferred name.

I will forward the complete reply through our cruise phone group

    Regards
    xxx Shanalee

I must soon book my flight to Melbourne from Sydney. I will be flying on the Thursday and would like to travel dressed. As I have never done this before I would appreciate being able to travel, for morale support, on the same flight with another member who is going on the cruise.
If you are travelling on the Thursday and don’t mind me joining you on the same flight please contact me at gymea000@fastmail.com

Also I’d appreciate any suggestions for reasonable hotels to stay at in Melbourne.
    Thanks
    Steph

    Hi all cruisers to nowhere

noted this in my travel summary
    in my cruise personaliser

    PROGRESSIVE CRUISE CHECK-IN INFORMATION

Guests travelling on shared transport or arriving as a group will be checked in together. Priority check-in will be available to guests with Priority Boarding within the allocated check-in times. Boarding will commence shortly after check-in. Please do not arrive prior to the start of cruise check-in as your cabin will not be ready.

    Shana,
I would take those check-in times with a grain of salt – particularly as I have seen the ship is due to sail at 4pm. Which I also don’t believe as we will be sailing very slowly to Sydney so there is no need for the ship to leave Melbourne s0 early).

The suggestions for boarding times are really designed to reduce the 12 midday crowd which can be very big as everyone likes to board at midday.
Generally I have no trouble boarding at any time, probably because (a) I am ancient, and (2) I am an Elite member of Princess. We have also found boarding at 1.30 to 2 pm can be quite fast

I think we should plan to board around 1 pm to 1.30 and present as a group. I, as Elite passenger can go to the front of the queue and, if you are with me at the start of check-in, I suspect that they will let us all go together to the front of the queue.

In order to achieve this we need to agree on a time AND place to meet just outside the port gates. It is years since I sailed into Melbourne – last time there was a cafe across the road, next to the tram stop. If it is still there I would suggest we meet there.
Has anyone got any better suggestions ?

    Hi Stephanie
    Sounds good to me
Suggest we all meet at checkin at 1.00pm
    And follow your lead
