  Growing up in the 80’s and 90’s I used to watch a the series based on the Degrassi kids. There was Degrassi Junior High, then Degrassi High abd now Degrassi the next generation. This show has dealt with many issues including teenage pregnancy and HIV. Now it has a transgender character.
  In the tenth series of this show is a charater known as Adam Torres. In mid Ausust in USA and Canada, there are a couple episodes called my body is a cage. In this two part episode of the show it is revealed that Adam is an FTM transsexual. The character is played by an actress called Jordan Todosi, a fairly gender neutral name.
