  fake marriages

  I’ve just caught the tale end of an article on the SBS program The Feed. It was about gay & lesbian people of Arabic origins & the difficulties they face not being able to ‘come out’ due to cultural/family expectations.
  Apparently it is very common for them to live in ‘fake marriages’ i.e. a gay man & a lesbian woman.
  A number of the comments from those interviewed could have come directly from Tg people – verbatim. There were a number of parallells.

  If I was more IT savvy I’d give you a link. I’m sure you could find the program on the SBS site though.
