yeah … the taxi club can be like a side street in bangkok at times, and is not everyone’s cup of tea, but thailand is at least a country that has a little more tolerance for transexuals and transvetites. so you would have thought that it would have happened much sooner, but there is now (at last?), hailing from thailand, a ladyboy band called venus flytrap (mmmmm):

i’m pretty sure they don’t do opera or country and western, but perhaps they do a little abba (hey … what’s so bad about abba?). they have been signed by sony bmg (probably one of the biggest recording company in the world), so keep an ear out for their single when it gets released.
