We have identified our venue for TransFusion 2016
Sydney Theatre Bar at The end of the Wharf
Hickson Road The Rocks.
https://www.sydneytheatre.com.au/your-visit/the-theatre-bar-at-the-end-of-the-wharfThere is usually a big pre-theatre crowd that thins out a lot when shows start and plenty of tables are available
Time : From 7,30pm till Late
In contrast to the Opera Bar The S T B is far more suitable for conversation and still provides stunning views of the Harbour and great photo locations . Plenty of Light Meal options and Drinks at similar pricing to the OB.
It also has an outdoor deck area That will just be T H E Coolest Place to relax and sip on a nice cocktail if weather is favourableHow to get there ?
1. Train to Circular Quay and 20min walk ( Not Recommended if you are wearing Heels) but its been done!!
2. Train to Circular Quay then Taxi .. 5 mins
3. By Car ( especially if you from a group) is best option if you arrive early and can get a metered spot along Hickson Road . Metred Parking also available in Argyle st under the Harbour Bridge approaches.
4. Taxi from your preferred secure parking location chosen say 5km away, a Good option if you are in a groupHope to see you there

Deleted User20/11/2016 at 8:40 amWell just 5 days to go until the most popular end of year event on the TGR Calendar!!
I see so many profiles on TGR of people who say they want to meet new friends or socialise .Well this is the perfect occasion to do exactly that . A venue seriously roadtested by some experienced TGR members.
Would be lovely to see some new faces amongst the regular Transfusion Girls.
Just do it !!!

3. By Car ( especially if you from a group) is best option if you arrive early and can get a metered spot along Hickson Road . Metred Parking also available in Argyle st under the Harbour Bridge approaches. In addition to the metered parking along Hickson Road mentioned by Caroline, there is also a reasonably priced Wilson car park underneath the new Bangaroo Headland Park. The entrance to Barangaroo Reserve Car Park is off Towns Place.

After 5pm there is a flat $10 rate at the weekend. And the car park is within easy walking distance of the Wharf Theatre.Don’t confuse it with the Wilson Barangaroo Point Car Park which has its entrance off Hickson Road in the cutting. This car park is more expensive at $14 for the night.

it was a superb venue for us and I think everyone had a great time. It fulfilled my wish of being able to meet some new people and of course old friends again. I suspect we will all be in favour of going there again next year . SO if you missed it this time i’m sorry you missed a wonderful night.out overlooking sydney harbour and all its Glamour.
Happy festive Season to you all
Hugs

I don’t ever put my money on there being a “next year”… so I’ll be there on Saturday night enjoying the present. The forecast at the moment is for a balmy dry evening – just perfect for being down by the water.

I must say If you are keen.. (aren’t we all !!) on having photos of at events like this make sure you take some yourself or have one of the many willing participants take photos of you on your own camera or phone.
Jane Smiley did a great job of taking many photos of everyone and has uploaded them to a Dropbox folder.
Most of you will know Jane I hope.. so just email her and request an access.I’m still So happy about how the evening turned out . Just wonderful
Cheers

I would like to agree with Caroline about the evening and thank her for doing the “scouting” work beforehand.
I definitely vote for it for next year.
Any photos that can be shared?
