NSW: The Devine in Newcastle
I just have to tell you about this great little shop I found in Newcastle. Its called “The Divine” and is located at 142 Maitland Road, Mayfield. Its a costume and theatrical shop that also caters for drag queens and crossdressers. Every first Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM, the lovely lady that owns the shop has an evening of nibbles, socialising, and dressing up. I went there to try a pair of shoes on to work out my correct foot size for Pleaser shoes, and she was ever so helpful. She has some wonderful garments that I also had a leisurely browse through. Different size dresses that she can have altered by a seamstress, corsets that you can look at, and she can order your correct size, catalogs of shoes to browse and order from, and so much more!!! She has a facebook page, “The Divine”, and she also runs in-house workshops, and private makeovers. Definitely a must checkout!!! When I’m out and about dressed up I’m definitely going to drop in for a coffee, browse and a chat.
