Moderators are active in three areas of the web site.Quote:a) Forum moderators are active in maximising the value of our forums.
Moderators ensure that postings are filed correctly, have appropriate headings and content, and comply with the site policies. To achieve this they are able to move posts, edit posts and delete posts as necessary.b) Chat Room moderators help ensure that our chat room remains a safe and supportive environment.
They have the ability to temporarily or permanently ban members from chatting.c) Membership moderators review and approve incoming membership requests.
They check changes to member profiles (including picture uploads) to ensure that they comply with our terms and conditions. Incoming guest emails are also screened by the moderators before being delivered to members.Giving advice
Finally moderators as a group are regularly asked provide advice.
This is particularly important when any disciplinary action is being proposed. But the moderator’s views are regularly sought on other important issues.
