Starting at 07:30 pmWeekly Wednesday get-togethers are held at a Brisbane inner city cafe. Here, you can have coffee, a meal or just sit and chit-chat. Most arrive about 7:30pm and stay until about 10:30pm. There is no fee to attend – just order what you want and pay before you leave.
The event is popular with an average of about 15 attending and up to 20+ on some nights.
New people are always welcome and are asked to send an introductory courtesy e-mail to host Bernie at bernie.love@gmail.com just saying you will be coming along. (don`t expect a reply) She started these weekly events in October 2003, and at the beginning spent many a week on her own-before the event became as popular as it is today.
The cafe is a big place with seating for about 100 and convenient free parking behind. It is licenced and has snacks and meals as well as hot beverages. The group usually sits near the Espresso Machine – look for the long line of tables.
Also the dress code for attendees is casual attire for a main stream open to the street cafe, or in male clothes. (No fantasy or risque outfits please) The cafe is open to general customers.
