“Scars on my tounge” AGAIN!!
Hi to all on TGR
Last month my beloved and I attended a wedding down in Hobart, which of course meant that both my she and I had to dress a bit more than our usual “in the sticks casual”. Of course this means she hardly ever wears anything remotely formal including a dress . But as she was getting dressed and putting on her make up, there was some comment or other about how “men don’t know what’s it like” to have to wear panty hose and heels and as we get older, the eyesight diminishes and it’s much harder to put on your make up.
a/. The “non answer” “Yes dear, I do know about the heels and stockings and b/, You should have asked me to pack my magnifying make up mirror”.
Scar number 2/. I had reasons to enter a wig shop not far from here and when I mentioned this to ‘er indoors, the comment was “but men would not go in there”…
Be a great spot for me to have my wigs done, but “far too close to home for comfort”
Scar number 3/. . Not too many days ago the subject of clip on earrings was raised.
Her comments were thus… “no one wears clip ons anymore, dont know if they are even still being sold”.
I loved the original English version of the TV series House of Cards.
One of the immortal (political) lines from that series came immediately into play in my “clip on head” .
“You may say that, I could not possibly comment”
Happy “clip ons”.
Caty”
PS Once I’d got myself organised and looked in the mirror, “who’s this bloke in a suit”. Have not worn one since I retired about “that long ago”.
