  Sorry, but I can’t come!

  Can I make a moderator request please?
  In the event listings for private and public events please please can you not post saying
  “I’m sorry but I can’t make this event”.

  In a group of 600+ members just think how long each thread could get if everyone who isn’t coming has published an opt out.
  And it makes the thread so much harder to scan for real comment (who is coming, who can I share with, what should I wear…..)

  At the moment I just delete the “can’t make it” postings. Please make my life easier by not posting in the first place.
  If you feel that politeness dictates you apologise to the organiser, please do that by a PM or email.
