the media ball is in play!
The Advertiser , The Age , ABC television with multiple shows , Channel 10 breif item on the project and Channel 9 on their premier current affairs show 60 minutes , media interest is there it would seem!
Now the ball is in play wouldn’t it be a good thing if we could keep it going. There are endless powerful stories of great struggle and adversity , sometimes over come but to often not. We don’t want a frenzied mentality to develop but as things are playing now there is a discussion in the greater community and that is how peoples minds open up and they learn. We need them to learn , to understand and accept us and realize our turmoil and struggle is so intense that whatever they do or say to us is important, some loose their battle with the demons and a few badly placed phobic comments can unfortunately be enough to tip the balance.
I as some maybe aware have become a little more proactive in the last month and one of my pet projects now is to work on getting interest from local talk back radio. A few representatives of our community able to share with and explain our problems with the wider world. The more people hear of our plight the more sympathetic and supportive they will tend to be of us. I am intrigued to hear the ideas of others on this and if anyone has any plans for a media project.
I follow a couple of pages on Facebook that provide a plethora of international and local media stories to many for me to relate her. If anyone’s interested they are transactive and transhealth Australia, the links that appear often lead to sources of a more permanent nature. From there I was able to sign up to receive even more and I do believe that information is power so for me at least it great.
