I use TV deliberately, TV as in television and an abbreviation we are all familiar with. I have lost track, among all the acronyms, either this is still in use, is politically incorrect or just so passée darling. Whatever.
I came across an article discussing Bugs Bunny and frocks which asks the question was Bugs the earliest drag queen on television?
Now, putting aside the definition of Drag Queen in this context the item goes on to show a few clips all of which I imagine most will recognise. I think everyone loved the Warner Brothers cartoons from those days, not as sanitized as the Disney cartoons not as squeaky clean and politically correct as they are today. I miss the old days.
One point, the presenter, bright, vivacious, Arielle Scarcella refers to issues about there not being enough LGTG references or role models on television and seems to imply she is the first to notice Bugs and his fun in frocks. Sorry sweetheart, been happening for a long time. By the way, this was referenced a few years ago in ‘Wayne’s World’ when his Wayne’s best mate Garth asks Wayne if he got excited seeing Bugs in a dress?
    Anyway, here is the URL
