Ladies Ladies Ladies.

I am delighted to announce that I have made a booking at the Friend in Hand in Glebe for 7:30pm on Friday 22nd October . At this stage we are limited to 12 people, although there is a possibility to extend by a few if needs be. Please private message me if you are attending rather than posting on here. Unfortunately I will have to work on a first come, first served basis so please be understanding if we cannot accomodate.

Hi Ladies

A number of you have been in touch asking about plans for a dinner evening once restrictions ease early next week. Just to let you know that I have been in regular contact with the Friend in Hand over the last few weeks and they are not yet taking bookings or provided details on what restrictions will be in place once they do open. I will contact them again on Monday, at which point I hope to be in a position to let you know of plans if any.

In the meantime, enjoy the last few days of lockdown 😂

The UK has one of the most messed up and regressive range of Trans policies in the world. From the government through a range of health services (or lack of) there is a pervading anti Trans rhetoric which is being fuelled by far right Christian groups and wealthy media owners. I for one hope Australia isn’t Looking to the UK for guidance on Trans policy or we are all screwed.

Hi Ladies, I hope you are all well and looking after yourselves in this challenging time. The lockdown is certainly going on longer than initially expected and hopefully this will be the last one.

With regards the August Glebe night, I probably don’t need to tell you that this is extremely unlikely to happen in any physical form. September is looking more of a possibility, but that will depend on how quickly we get the numbers under control and the phased opening up of the state so watch this space.

So Gladys has made our mind up for us, with the July Glebe night officially cancelled. Nothing we can do about it aside for all of us looking after ourselves, those we love and keeping an eye out for all our friends to ensure they are coping.

Date for the August Glebe night is Friday 20th. Hopefully we will all be free to spread our wings and enjoy each other’s wonderful company at the point. Until then stay safe and watch out for updates as we shuffle into August.

Well Ladies, with the extended lockdown and lack of certainty over the end date we will postpone the Glebe night pushing it out to Friday 23rd. This is of course dependant upon the fluid situation around COVID so we will continue to monitor the situation and update again next week.

Hi Ladies

As those of you who were at the June Glebe night know the plan for the next meet up scheduled for Friday 16th July was to be a Christmas in July sparkle evening. However, in light of the latest lockdown and uncertainty over when or if the Friend in Hand will be open, or venue restrictions, I will hold off trying to organise anything until we know more on 9th July. In the meantime, stay safe everyone and don’t forget to polish your sequins (no, not a euphemism for something else) for when we all meet next.

Hi Julie Anne, it’s more to do with other bookings. If they have others it’s highly likely that there won’t be table space for those who haven’t booked. That means there will be quite a few unhappy girls who either can’t get a space at the table or are so squashed in it’s impossible to have a meal in comfort. It doesn’t happen often, but it was the case a couple of months back where most of the upstairs was booked out. Hence the need to know ASAP to avoid disappointment.

I will give the venue final numbers tomorrow after that there are no promises
