As an only occasional attendee I also want to thank @caro and @Adrian for all their work in arranging these events. I’ve enjoyed every time since I first turned up in 2009. (That’s AD, not BC.)
Looks like I won’t be coming tonight if it’s not on. I support fixing the date as the 3rd Friday as that makes the calculation much easier. 🙂
Love, peace and see you all soon.

I only found out the other day that Christine had passed away last year. She was a friend and mentor and helped me greatly in my early days. We chatted at last year’s Seahorse Ball and she mentioned some health issue. RIP and fond farewell.
Here’s a photo from 2013.

I have found TgR to have some of the most balanced, sane, entertaining and friendly people around. I’d consider joining even if I didn’t like the occasional spot of girl time !

Interestingly, if you search on the Fairfax website you should find a piece of investigative journalism he filmed a while ago. He goes out dressed as a woman after a day of waxing and deportment training. The crass part is where he is walking down Norton St, I think. His insightful commentary includes the immortal line “I am dressed like a transvestite.” No dear, if you dress like one then you probably are one.

1. Putting on all the underclothes things. Doing my make-up, brushing my wig.
2. Putting on a skirt, top, my wig, jewellery, boots/shoes.
3. Staring in wonderment at my reflection in the mirror.
4. Faffing with my handbag and making sure I’ve got everything.
5. Stepping outside. Going to wherever. Wondering why no-one is pointing at me. Smiling at girls who serve me in cafes and shops.

Can I just add my admiration and respect for Amanda and those who also helped in the production of the final report.
It is impressive, professional and fascinating to read. Some great insights and helped me understand where I am and others are in this challenging world.

Avoid Transformation ! It is dreadful. Although my experience was not as bad as some stories. The girl who made me up was nice but it was a bit seedy.
Check out the UK Angels website for advice.
