Guest08/11/2016 at 6:42 amHi Luci. I’m just wishing I had been able to buy at this price.

Hi
A bit of catch 22 now I guess as shaving promotes hair growth, whereas waxing slows it down.
again maybe attack the hairs that regrow after waxing, especially as they would be weaker.
And I am off to the shaver shop now

Hi
Just looking at the units and now I need help.
the SC2008 model has a lower life cycle, But it has a larger head which we need for shearing lol
and it is cordless as well which is convenient.
Sadly I cant find power references or for Male use and I am hoping you can advise me as to what you think.

Hi Jennet,
The SC2008 is a Philips model not the ipulse smooth skin for men. I am not sure as to the comparison. I too bought the ipulse, but sadly not at the reduced price. The most important feature to check is that it automatically judges your skin colour to avoid damage. Some units require you to manually adjust. The ipulse smooth skin does all that for you.
Hope that helps a bit

Guest10/11/2016 at 1:33 amIPL machines slowly stop growth whilst thinning the hair out.. I will assume with all brands, they say no waxing, shave then use the IPL Machine.. Good luck with your purchase
smooth skin for Men automatically adjusts for skin tone.. It will not work on dark skin or light hair eg Blonde or greys

Guest11/11/2016 at 12:07 amHi Em, can you update us on how you feel your machine works. If those who buy any brand comment here it should help others who are considering buying xo
Hi Jennett. I hope you got sorted. My Smoothskin states on the box Smoothskin for Men. Smoothskin Gold is rated for woman. My Smoothskin for men has a life cycle of 120,000 flashes. I suggest to anyone if dealing with the Shavershop or anyone just ask what brands and models they have for men

Guest16/11/2016 at 4:43 amHi all I have received 2 emails from the Shave shop on IPL machine .1 says the newest smooth skin is available for $399 and the flashes have an infinite life.. My version dies after 120,000 flashes.. The other product for $249 is the Phillips Lumea essential. It says the flashes life is 200,000 and works on face.. Not sure if it is classed as ok for Males but might be worth a try at this price. I can only comment on Smoothskin. The Phillips product is on sale 55% off so might do the job

Hi Jess
one last question before I make a decision.
I am 65 yo and actually have mostly grey hairs and I was wondering if I am past dreaming about being smooth.
What would you suggest, dont bother or give it a go.

Guest16/11/2016 at 7:42 amHi Jennet, well if your mostly grey, I’d say the only option is electrolysis. I’d hate to see you waste your money. I’m 51 and I’d guess was 20% grey when I purchased. My plan of attack is use Smoothskin then kill greys with electrolysis. I’m unaware of other options with greys. Xo

Guest24/11/2016 at 8:51 amHi April, very happy with body hair, stopped using IPL but found some still grows, I will start doing my body again after Xmas. Got my Daughter and Grandkids living with me so currently just do my face. Arms and legs very few hairs easy to shave now. Still maintenance on underarms very few

Well I went and bought the Male version for myself, agreed I am probably 20 yrs too late but it will be interesting to see what happens.
Well it certainly has a little kick and it can get hot but no real dramas or complaints.

Guest29/12/2016 at 1:12 amHi Jennett, Good luck, I hope it does a good job for you.. I have been using mine fortnightly lately.. Due to having my Daughter and Grandkids with me. I get caught up babysitting.. I am getting frustrated as the last group of hairs, seems to be hardly going away. I have noticed more Greys coming through so my timing in buying an IPL machine is the cause.. I over all am still pleased with the success of mine.. I am going to have to use Electrolysis at some stage to stop the Greys… Please post here how you go with yours.. so it can help other Girls assess if they wish to buy an IPL unit.. Hope you have results that please you…
