Just about everyone I have discussed this with has had the shudders. A friend of mine had a long standing fight with the UK’s Gender Police but in the end gave up and stepped round them to gain a UK passport by waiving an Aussie passport with female tick in it. The GRC people seem to be a group determined to say “No” to anyone who hasn’t followed the approved route.
As for the Illawarra, I wander through all the time with no problems. -

Once I went to pay for my petrol presenting as female. The pleasant cashier called me “darl” and I floated out happy. A week later I bought petrol at the same place from the same cashier but this time presenting as male. She called me “darl”. Sometimes the world is a bit random and sometimes we read too much into what people say. Just go with the flow I say.

I’ve been on anti-T and E for 2.5yrs. I switched to an implant for E 6 mths ago after talking to Dee. It’s definitely the way to go. Physical changes have slowed down but I’m hopeful they will get a kick along from my new implant which is just 3 weeks old.

This study was of 15 transmen and 15 transwomen in one State reporting instances of discrimination over their lifetimes. I’d venture to say that in modern times things are much better. I’ve certainly found no instances of medical discrimination over the past 5 years though I was too chicken to test the water before that.

Its great to hear from all you girls who are going through these changes. It makes me feel like I’m not alone in this. My doctor has suggested going on implants as I’m on 10mg of Progynova which is a high dose with an increased risk of clotting.Karen

My apologies for not actually answering your question; viz “ I have read that hormonal transition takes up to two years, but after that you get no change. Is this true or can the changes due to hormones take longer?“
Essentially no, it’s not true. A lot depends on the HT itself, its delivery format, dosages, your uptake ability and rate, the list goes on. Nothing is average in transition. I have heard of cases where some women have had considerable breast growth after being on for over 10 years. Who knows how long for you?
It can be a tricky business playing round with your body chemistry, hence an expert in this field would be the obvious answer; an Endo.

Hi Karen,
As Adrian eluded to, there are considerable variants in HT. There are several delivery formats and dosages that can play a significant role in out comes. Your blood test results should give a reasonable indication as to HT’s effectiveness. Do you keep a copy of these, and do you have a basic understanding of he results? It may pay you to seek a second opinion from an Endocronologist who is familiar with transgender matters.

Good good to see you post back again here. We all are worried about you, so keep posting honey.
You made me write the story of Corina. You know why? Because she is a brave, kind and fighter girl, just like you.
Corina had a very confusing situation, so she decided to go to Africa for a while to have time to think. One day she bought a lot of sausages and burgers to make a party for others. In her way back home, she parked her car somewhere to walk in wild nature. She was walking alone and suddenly she found a hungry big lion in front of her. It was shocking. Time stopped for her and she thought she had to do something. She immediately thought about these options:
Telling the lion it doesn’t need to eat her. She is a very kind girl and she loves to share sausages and burgers with it. But noop, they don’t talk the same language.
The other option was to fight with the lion but although she is powerful and strong, lion of course is much stronger.
Option 3, Run for now.Yep she only had the third option, so she took off her high heels, wore sport shoes and ran as fast as she could and when she found herself far from the lion, she hid in a safe place to make sure lion cannot find her. She rested well in her safe place and went back to town and had a lot of fun there.
After a while, she went back to the place she had seen the lion and put some warning sign there:”there are lions here, be ready to run fast”
She also made a special human size doll which smell like fresh meat and put it on lions area with an piece of meat 500 meters from it. When lions attack the doll they receive an electric shock so they run and they can find the eatable meat. In this way she teaches lions to not eat human to help people who cannot run fast enough.
… It’s the story of all of us, sometimes we should stop fighting and find a safe place to hide and rest. Then we should use our energy to have fun and also wisely fight.

Thanks for opening this thread and sharing your feelings with us. It’s very brave of you, first to accept who you really are and also sharing your feelings and I’m sure a brave girl like you finally overcome all the hardships. So please honey be patient, everything will be all right.
Anyone in in the earth experience times that she prefer to die, we transgenders more than others. We all know it’s very hard to be a tranny but be sure good moments will hug you tied very soon.
Btw, if no one in the world can understand you are a girl. We all very deeply understand it :-*. We all are in the same boat with you and YOU ARE NOT ALONE SWEET HEART!

Spot on Adrian. The hair loss problem is the most intractable hurdle for my gradual approach to transition The hormones have stopped the bald area expanding and even rolled it back a bit. Wearing a wig shouts out “fraud”, for me at least.
I grew my hair out for 12 months last year but when my selected hairdresser told me she couldn’t give me an acceptable female cut, I gave up and got a buzz cut and an expensive wig. Wrong, wrong, wrong I’ve met or heard stories from others who at a similar age and with similar hair coverage to me have a female cut and can be assumed as a result to be female even when all clothes are male and there is no make-up. Actually I think, for day wear, a lack of beard shadow without using make-up is very affirming.
So my plan is to keep growing my hair and find a better hairdresser (or maybe even a hat). -
Tricky stuff. I think I’m with Robin. I’ve tried all the options you’ve listed except “glam” plus “boy-mode” and “girl mode”. I’m not really happy with any of them so I’ll keep switching around depending on my mood and changing language fashions until some term wins the race
