There was a young TGirl in a nice pair of thigh boots and black tights. She loved to dream of adventures So one night she decided to go out and party like never before. She arrived wearing a black leather figure hugging skirt, a red corset and 6″ heels and stands with head held high

In this day and age I think no one will care, after it heals you can take it out as required. Also you can also say your girl friend Lori likes it
Also while at it get your nose done.Healing times are quoted as long as 12 months! It depends a lot on the person, their well being and how well it is done. The important thing is keep it clean. You normally find after a few weeks you can take it out but I would suggest leaving it in as long as possible. Beside no one can see it unlike your ears. Do not go to your local hair dresser, go to a professional. Ensure they have good hygiene standards; health department approved and use sterilisation technology including autoclaving. Would suggest you get a banana bar not a ring, but a professional will tell you what’s right for you. Get good quality jewellery, solid 14k gold, titanium, or stainless steel not what you find down at the markets to wear at first. A banana bar is less likely to catch on things. Tip: cover with a large band aid when doing any lifting while healing and get used to it being there. It’s amazing how it will catch on things at first, until you get use to it.
Search Google using piercing healing times

Administrator12/04/2010 at 9:14 pm in reply to: Going out in public for the first time.Hi Tiggy, I think that Bronywn’s suggestion has a lot of merit. Times when it’s too busy and crowded for people to care usually work really well.
For those who would prefer a quieter approach, going out for a meal to a place that you know will be friendly is a good alternative (a phone call beforehand to explain what you are planning and to check with them whether you are indeed welcome before you book is always worthwhile).
Best wishes, Tanya

Good advice! …. and, whenever possible, wear a broad-rimmed hat when in the sun.

Administrator10/03/2010 at 11:16 am in reply to: Hormones – side effects[Read WARNING on first post]There are a number of good , bad and interesting side effects. You may get some, all or none of them. They effect your whole body from hair to weight, to eyes and mood. . Remember ask questions just do not belive what others tell you without checking. Asking on TR is a good step, the people come from a wide range of backgrounds and deal with this everyday.
Try the following;
Read the HRT posts on TRhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hormone_replacement_therapy_%28male-to-female%29
In general search wikipedia but remember has stated “Wikipedia is written collaboratively by largely anonymous internet users who write without pay” Its a good start but only a guide.
Goggle the names of the various hormones. Try the makers web sites; all Hormones come with information sheets, which list the side effects. Ask someone already on hormones to give you copies, they get one in each box! Currenty I have about 30 of the thngs, there like rabbits.
Also try;
http://home.earthlink.net/~miche1/hormones.html#estradiol-valerate
http://www.kingcounty.gov/healthservices/health/personal/glbt.aspPlus theres 100’s other sites, maybe one day someone will do some reserch and post a complete list on TR
PS for sensitive nipples try ice packs and wear very light and lose tops.

Another option is classic curves – the Veronica series is very impressive. Veronica 5 is the latest and it’s great. For smoothing things out, a body briefer (for example Rago 9357 in the Secrets in Lace website that Lisa has mentioned) will do the trick. Best wishes, Tanya

Estrace comes under the generic name of ESTRADIOL and is available in Australia under various names including Estracombi, Estradot, Femtran, Sandrena and Vagifem to name but a few.

Herbals do not really work, so dont waste your money.
Have a look at the Transgendercare website medical feminising program.
Use finasteride (available as Propecia or Proscar tablets) for an anti-androgen effect and watch your boobs slowly increase in size before thinking about using female hormones.
The Inhousepharmacy can supply all your requirements witout the need for prescriptions.
Good Luck

I can relate to Lucie’s advice, particularly wetting yourself in the shower, turning off the water and then applying body wash/ body scrub.
More recently, I have come to realise that the key ingredient is the physical process of exfoliation, which is best done with exfoliating gloves. Nowadays, I simply use the exfoliating gloves with soap (lots of it).
Exfoliating gloves, which can be bought from any chemist, are very abrasive, however a gentle massage of all your skin for 2 -3 minutes, which creates a fine foam from the soap takes off virtually all dead skin cells leaving your skin very clean and smooth.
When I sense that I may be getting a few hair pores clogged, as a matter of urgency I will pour a desert spoon of salt into my gloved hand and then gently rub that all over with soap for a minute or two.
Then wash off and let the skin dry – the skin can get very itchy for 10 – 15 minutes as it drys out, but this really opens up the pores in a useful way. The itch is stopped in its tracks by rubbing in moisturiser or sorbeline cream (I understand that sorbeline is the key ingredient in moisturisers, and it’s relatively cheap). Besides, it’s best to moisturise all over after exfoliating this way.

Found the following posted it here as not sure where to place
“New South Wales has become the second state in Australia to allow intersex people to change the sex on their birth certificates” ….”Now people need only provide proof that they are intersex and are living in the gender they wish to change to for their official documents to be changed.”
