Well done Ladies, I have to agree with almost every nominee . . .
Except, maybe the Dalai Lama, he has never hurt or promoted hurt to anyone that I am aware of and his utterances are far less annoying than those of the Pope.

So I should nominate the Pope of Pedophiles, along with the most annoying voice on radio and television, the guy who has convinced me, to never in my lifetime, walk through the doors of National Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiles.

I have been a client of this practice for 5 or 6 years and everyone I have been in contact with has been caring and respectful.

I highly recommend them, especially for gender and sexuality issues.

Thanks for your reply Vicky, you are correct in saying that we all have different experiences with our treatments but it is only in collecting all those histories that commonalities will be discovered and the knowledge base of treatment for transgender people will be expanded.

Hi Caroline, thanks for your reply, it is my medicos who have asked me for information as they have not been involved in treatment of both conditions until I came along.
There is plainly little literature available to them as well so we should not miss the opportunity to add to medical knowledge of transgender people.

I started HRT in May 2017 and chemotherapy two months later.
I had no side effects from the chemo apart from hair loss but I also had no physical effects from the hormones until after the chemo treatments ended.

Thirteen months later, I am very happy with my progress in the breast growth area having now attained a B cup and I am still growing.

My doctors and psychologist have all asked me if I know of anyone else who has been through both treatments at the same time and whether they or their medical team noted any interaction between the drugs.

I completely agree with Sara, any MtF students would prefer to be addressed as girls and why would any FtM want to be in a girl only school?

At my wife’s suggestion, I started having a full body wax once a month about five years ago at a salon that she had used a few times. The lady (Gail) said at the time that she did not do Brazilians on males and I was not concerned about that.
I would book two separate sessions and have the top half done in the morning and and the bottom half in the afternoon. After a few months we realised that it was taking too long to do the the arms and hands and I would often have to use my Epilady on these areas in between sessions with Gail as the hands especially, were something I could not hide when the regrowth started to become apparent. I continue to do my arms and hands about twice a month with the Epilady, leaving the rest to Gail.

I would always arrive at the morning session in drab mode but on a couple of occasions, with Gail’s approval, when I had a TG function to attend that night, t would dress femme and put on my make-up during the break and attend the afternoon session as Sheryl.

Three years ago I put Sheryl back into the closet as I was having some personal issues and I stopped the waxing too. after twelve month of self imposed exile, Sheryl re-emerged stronger than ever, starting with another full body waxing and this time adding the face to the areas to be waxed. During Sheryl’s exile, Gail had left the salon and had begun providing her services from her home. Now Gail does the whole job in one session but we take a 15-20 minute coffee break about half way through.

My regrowth has lessened slightly over the years and has become finer. The pain level has diminished but there are some areas that are still quite sensitive, particularly around the lips and the lower back but if I am tired, I will sometimes nod off while Gail is working. After my waxing there may be some hairs on the face that broke off instead of being pulled out and some that did not grow long enough for the wax to hold, these are quickly removed by a very light shave or if they are very dark can be removed with tweezers

The feeling of a hair free body for at least a week after waxing is so incredible it has to be felt to be believed but the best part is not having to hide a beard shadow for at least two weeks after waxing.
The only down side is the monthly period. That is the period of a week to ten days that I have to let the beard grow so it is long enough for the wax to pull it out

Overall, I love my monthly waxing and will recommend it to anyone. I was open with Gail about my reasons for having the waxing done, she has always acted in a professional manner and I feel very comfortable when she is working on me. I now think of her as one of my best friends.

A very thought provoking piece, Adrian. ‘I am transgender’, is what I usually use and it appears that I have been grammatically correct.

I think that so far no one has seen the obvious advantage of a cis male playing a trans role is that we gain another high profile ally every time.
With the research and mentoring required for an actor to effectively portray a particular role, the actor is self educating themselves in the lifestyle of that role and will gain a deep understanding of the way we live and the trials we go through.

Although I have been dressing since I was about eight years old. I had never needed a femme name until I first joined Seahorse in the early 80’s,
I needed a femme name for the application form and not wanting to copy any name from among our family and friends, I chose Sheryl.
I prefer the softer and I think more feminine sounding ‘Sh’ spelling of my name.
Two girl names stood out from my youth and the first became our daughter’s name. The second was of a very pretty girl named Sheryl who I knew as a teenager. She had an average body which was in no way extraordinary but I would have sold my soul to the devil to have a body like hers.
    I think I still would
